The Last Halloween Hurrah

The pirate outfit is a hand-me-down, but our little pirate this year will not be enjoying a Thomas the Train costume next. I get the distinct sense that my little grandson will be wearing it until it falls apart. He adores Thomas the Train. You've never seen a more angelic pirate who only wanted to nibble candy at his mama's knee or hug his teddy bear.

  1. Both of your grandsons are so adorable, Vee! I hope they had agood trick or treat!

I just got home from the Halloween parade in NYC -- I was astounded how many people in costume marched in it! It was 2 and a half hours of costumes and bands and floats ...so much fun!

  4. Look at those faces! Randey and I sat on the porch last night and passed out candy...it was so much fun seeing the little kids. Halloween sure has changed a lot, but every now and again, you can find a kid who is just thrilled with the whole thing - the costumes, the candy, the walking. We saw a little girl, probably about 2, dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. She was the cutest little thing. She didn't seem to be enjoying her experience (ha), but boy, was she cute!!

  6. They are the cutest, but you knew that!!! They certainly do get attached to some things.
It sounds like everyone had a wonderful Halloween. How was the weather? It was positively beautiful here for a change.

  11. Very sweet. That little pirate I don't mind. . .and I always think it is so cute when little ones wear their favorite costumes to the bitter end of the costume life.

  12. Oh so darling!!!! They are such cutie pies. I am sure they were your sweetest treat for Halloween! Our Ninja boy spent the evening doing karate chops and shouting "High Yah" much to my delight. They are so much fun at these ages.

  15. Hi, Vee - your grands are precious! I guess they got totally wired on candy last night. We had quite a few and I got rid of about $30 worth of candy. It was fun!

Thanks for sharing your remedy for sciatica. I'm going to get DH a bigger gel pack. I've only got a little one - Take care and have a blessed Sunday - Vickie
