Pumpkins On a Canoe Ride

Is it Monday already? Where'd the weekend go so fast?

I know! This is what happens when someone spends all day Saturday buried in the garage; I'm sharing before and after pictures at the end of this post.

We're in an unsettled weather pattern, which means angry clouds can scuttle in at any time producing showers that come and go quickly. In spite of them, we were able to go for a drive yesterday afternoon to enjoy the foliage. Here are two of my favorite shots.

What's not to appreciate about pumpkins going for a canoe ride or a big red barn?

The next two are not one bit pretty, but to me they are a thrill. I'm still grinning every time I enter the garage. Any time that the garage is reserved for vehicles instead of just stuff, I am happy. All of those things in the back left corner are awaiting a trip to my sister's so that whole corner will be cleared soon.

Hope that you can tell the before and after on your own because Blogger, as per usual, is being a pain in the keister. And, on that cheerful note, I bid you all a Good Day! :D

  1. I love the colour of the leaves, and always did wonder what pumpkins got up to when we were not looking!
I am very impressed at the tidy garage. I don't have one, so I have nowhere to dump stuff - or is that why my house is not spick and span?? Hmmmm.

  3. I love the fall pictures. I can taste the pumpkin pie and cider.

I have been promising my husband since spring that I would clear out the garage so we can actually park the car in there for winter. I am running out of time, methinks!

  5. Huge Congratulations on what you did with/to the garage!!! Hooray!!!

Now please *request* that your sister and her beloved get their keisters over and take that stuff off your hands. Ahemmmm, perhaps with a deadline... Do it by such and such a date, or after... off it goes to Good Will.

Well, she's been gone for a long time, and her stuff is still there sooooo... methinks she could use a deadline. And that's because I am so sweet!!!!! -evil grin-

    Hugs,
    Miss Mari-Nanci

  8. I think that pumpkins should ride canoes regularly. Lovely, lovely photos, but then I'm a sucker for fall. About the garage - you're doing good. I have a three car garage with NO cars parked in it. NONE. I see that you have a staircase which means you have storage up above also. That's terrific. I'm wishing for that.

  9. I have garage envy. LOL Ours looks like a tornado went through it...almost everything is sort of pressed against the walls, but it looks like it was THROWN against the walls. lol

Love the fall pictures. It's rainy here today with a high of 83. I will be so glad when I don't have to run the A/C anymore this year. We're suppposed to be in the mid to high 80's for most of this week (which REALLY means low to mid 90's).
    sigh...
I'm thinking of just putting the termostat down to 60 and wearing my new clothes indoors. LOL

  11. The changing color of the leaves is one of my favorite things about fall - beautiful pictures Vee. Your garage looks so big! We keep trying to tidy up the garage, but some how it just never happens. We're able to get one car in a two car garage!

  16. Your photos are glorious! I wish I could see the scenery in person! It is still so very green here. We took a trip over the weekend and went up in a tower and took some photos from there and the landscape is not changing very much here. When it does, it will do it in a very sudden and showy fashion. Thanks for sharing the beauty around you, including a tidy garage. Do you hire out? I have a storage building in need!
