Scrabble

Don't you just love a good game of Scrabble? Me, too, but that's not what's making me so happy about this two-dollar Scrabble game. Nooo, not at all. Now I can do this:

...and in case I forget where it is...

Best of all...

Create a wonderful and warm day...

Edited to Add: And doesn't Scrabble provide the perfect way to wish a very special blogger this?

  2. Too cute! Better than post-it notes. God forbid that we should forget where the kitchen is.

  6. Oh, I got an old Scrabble game last summer at a yard sale and it's still one of my favorites. I use it just the way you did too! "2 minds but with a single thought..."

I ALWAYS look for these - hope to find another one day...

    Your vignettes are adorable :-)

  8. What a great idea. I've also seen jewelry made from Scrabble pieces. Now that I'm back I've got to read further and see what you've been up to.

  9. I love Scrabble...and might just use my Scrabble tiles for decor as well...since no one else in my world likes playing with word games with me! Great idea.

And I'm so glad you joined in Lovella's birthday party...what fun!

  10. This at first reminded me of something, long ago. Not Scrabble related though.

When our first child was very young, I read that it was wise to try to give them a head start with reading. But putting signs up on almost everything! ,-) So there would be a "Chair" on a chair... "Wall" on a wall... "Apple" on an apple... "Lamp" on a lamp... "Floor" on a floor... Etc. You get the idea! ,-)

Oh I wonder if anyone else, ever was "advised" to do this? :-)

I can't say it really worked, as to the head-start part. But all our children are voracious readers.

  15. Aren't you the clever one!! Great idea. I'd rather do that with the tiles than play the game. I'm not a big fan of games.

  18. Vee,

I am sitting here oohing and awing over the sweetness of your scrabble messages and then I get to the one that tickled my funny bone, KITCHEN, in case you forget where it is ;c) What a sweet and thoughtful message to the Birthday blog buddy too! Thanks for the smile!

I saw on etsy a place where you could purchase 100 scrabble tiles for a very nominal amount ~ hmmm, now I am thinking I maybe should have bought them!

I think I am stealing this idea and tomorrow I will leave little scrabble love messages for my family.
