Pssst! Psssssttt! Right over here...it's me the bunny. Listen, the bird and I have a few things to show you.
There've been a few changes over the weekend.
For one thing She-Who-Always-Putters put that forsythia way over there so I wouldn't be able to eat it. Drat! Oh well, that's one thing — the forsythia is blooming.
Yup, here we are again. She-Who-Always-Putters found an old window frame. Big deal! But, noooo, She thinks it's the greatest thing since soap. Apparently, so does He — He-Who-Always-Putters. See that joint on the end there below? He goes ga-ga for that kind of stuff. So between her going on and on about patina and his going on and on about old construction...weird!
What did She do with the old frame? It's out on its keister...
But that's not the best news of the weekend. The best news is that He is a brand new great-grandfather. Yup, great: G.R.E.A.T. Grrrreat! His granddaughter and her husband have welcomed a precious baby boy to their family.
Say, come back tomorrow and see how much mileage She can get out of the same old story retold. Oh, She says to have a great day!
*Every pun intended. Check out "the real" Bunny Tales. Err...the real Bunny Tales.
So glad you hopped over to the keyboard, bunny! Exciting news about the new baby- congrats! I too love that window frame. You may not be able to reach the forsythia but I would think with a little effort you and birdie could get that cup and pour some tea from that pretty pot!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS on the new bundle of joy! Ahh that new baby smell...
ReplyDeleteMy friend Linda doesn't usually find four leaf clovers, but my friend Bucky (Rebecca)does all of the time - without even trying!
I love your new frame. I have one from the house my DH grew up in. It's been matted and I use it as a picture frame. But I like your idea too!
Hi Vee,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great window frame. I have "window frame" on my list of " to look fors" for our next trip to the many antique shops in Lancaster Pa. Yours is beautiful and it looks great in your vignette! Congratulations on the new baby. What a precious gift they are. Have a great day. Hugs, Loretta
I love your old frame and loved the talking bunny too! :-)

ReplyDeleteIsn't spring grand? Everything is made new...and even a new great-grandbaby! How special is that? And the new/old window frame...it's perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm stunned! He certainly doesn't look old enough to be a G.R.E.A.T. grandfather. Enjoy the new babe.

A Great-Great Grandfather. Wow. Give him my congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI like the pencil caddy and all your little bits of art and craft changes.
Cute story Vee, Congrats on the new great-grandbaby.
ReplyDeleteI think that little tea pot is probably one of the cutest ones I have ever seen.
Yes, I do have all the flowers on the front porch, some hanging and some sitting in this and that.
I want to go right back there, it was such a neat place to visit, I missed two turns on the way out there because I was to busy galking and talking to myself. Thats pretty bad when you miss turns because your talking to yourself huh?
Last pic of my Explorer all loaded down is the last pic, I am sorry it was loadsing so slow, I will check into that.
The forsithia bush is beautiful.

Barbara, just one great will do. Though he was quite certain that all those ways of saying "great" would get him teased. ;D
ReplyDeleteLove the window frame and it all looks so nice and springy together. Good thing you kept the bunny away from the forsythia. We wait too long for them to bloom only to have a hungry bunny eat them.
ReplyDeleteGreat news on the new baby. Congratulations!!

Beautiful what you did with the window frame, the grouping is so fresh and springy.. Mr Bunny did a great job at sizing up the situation, I think he might just be a keeper.
We did have a great dinner and visit with my mother, and now this afternoon I am out here in blogland enjoying myself visiting.

Hi Vee.....I saw your comment on Liane's blog...just popping over to say all is well. Everything is quiet...I had a lot of nervous energy today and mopped the floor of the entire lower level, made a batch of liquid laundry soap, washed down my cabinet fronts, gave Rush a haircut.....and that's in addition to school...LOL. It's the most productive I've been in days...since I haven't been on the computer.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE the old frame...I have an old stained glass window that needs to be re purposed....hmmmm.
HUGS,
Robin
Oh my...and a GREAT Grandfather?
