Oh, to be in England
Now that April's there,
And whoever wakes in England
Sees, some morning, unaware,
That the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf,
While the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough
In England — now!
~Robert Browning

It is indeed very beautiful today iun England. And the blossom is out on the trees. The birds sing too. And the sky is blue and the sun is shining. Well, it was. It is night time now. And spring flowers are everywhere. The verge alongside the road is full of daffodils. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time I went to England in the Spring. I didn't want to come back, everything there is so charming.

I live in Portland, Oregon...it is very similar to England in the weather and geography. So perhaps...I am experiencing a touch of England!
