When you took high school chemistry, you learned that in order to make an experiment work you had to have a constant. Every variable must, in some way, be connected to a constant. The same is true in our lives. Without a constant, we cannot make this experiment of life work. There is nothing constant about us. We are nothing but a walking variable. This is why it is necessary for us to recognize our need for a constant in life — and the only constant in this world is Christ and His Word. ~ Victory Over Depression by Bob George
I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in Him, he will bear much fruit, apart from Me you can do nothing. ~ John 15:5
Hi Vee,
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your writing so much. God is my constant, The only real constant in my life.
Your hair looks healthy. My hair is so short that I never have to think about it.
Have a blessed day.
This quote is so beautiful Vee, and very true! I find prayer so calming in times of stress, uplifting in times of sadness, and a gratitude multiplier in times of joy! How wonderful it is to have faith!

ReplyDeleteIt's so much easier living with God in your life. He is our one contstant. :-)
Wise words! Thanks so much for giving me something to ponder... the Constant, the Firm Foundation.

Beautiful writing and thoughts for today. It reminds me I really need to take time to read more often. Wonderful scripture verse.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Sonday Vee.
Christ is our constant...and apart from Him we can do nothing. Good reminder...since we keep trying to go it alone!
ReplyDeleteI am glad I am connected to the constant ~ Christ. Great analogy, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Vee!
ReplyDeleteOh you have one of my favorite Bible passages today! I painted a small Bible stand for a small church preacher, a dear friend, and used that passage with a vine growing up the post of the stand. I will have to find my photos of it and scan them for a post sometime. It turned out so good and my preacher friend really loved it.
Thank you for the positive comment on my new photo! I dislike so many photos of myself and that's a rare one I thought turned out alright. I love your hair Vee and you are such a pretty girl! You take a great photo and you look so happy!!
I had a great day today! One of my "sweetie girls" was at church this morning when we got there (my 2 yr old granddaughter) and she went into the playroom for toddlers for the 1st time! No crying, no clinging, just went right to the toys and another little girl that was playing. God IS good!! Have a great week Vee!
Hugs, Sherry
I just got caught up on your blog posts...always a delight!! I love your window boxes...they aren't the typical cookie cutter flowers...way prettier!! You have style Vee!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is our constant. That is so comforting. We can be so up and down and hormones just get to flying, but He is ever the same. It will be so wonderful when we are like Him. God is so good!
