A Haven for Vee

A Poem, A Fairy, and a Promise

Remember when every Monday meant that I posted about some sort of craft? Well, I haven't been doing enough of them lately, but I do have three things to share today.
The first is Mari-Nanci's prose titled "Happy July" that I have framed and I just love...thank you, M-N, for permission to do this. The second is a fairy in a jar...an idea I stole from Dawn at The Feathered Nest. Thanks, Ladies! Oh, just so that you'll know that no fairy has been harmed and that she seems as happy in the jar as she was in my
jewelry box...
Finally, there's a new apron hanging along with my others...well, there will be just as soon as Suzanne (aka The Farmer's Wife) shows me the next steps. (See July 3) She's already shown us a lot so run out and get yourself a good man's shirt. I found mine at Goodwill for $4.99...a little more pricey than Suzanne is willing to pay, but it is an extra large, tall.
It's going to be such a busy week that I don't know when I'll be able to visit all my blogging buds again, but I will just as soon as I can.
Have a great Monday!

  3. I love the fairy in the jar. I have a God jar, in the tradition of Anne Lamott. I write craggly problems on a piece of paper and put it in the jar along with a prayer that He will help me find a solution or at least an understanding and acceptance.

Oil up your sewing machine because we'll be sewing that apron on Thursday! Oh, and I will pay $4.99, especially if it's the extra tall and extra long. That's premiium stuff.

Have a wonderful week full of busy and fun things. (Hmmmmm.....preparations?)

  4. What lovely things you have made/are making. :-) Isn't it such a great thing to get inspiration from others for those kinds of projects! That is what I love about my blogging friends. You are an inspiration to me (and don't worry about visiting ...I know how those busy weeks go!)

    Blessings,
    Christi

  6. I love that you added air holes for your fairy! I am snoopy enough to wonder at all this "busyness" this week after leaving such a huge hint in an earlier post. I will anticipate hearing more my friend. Happy week my friend!

So sweet I {almost} can't fault you for not telling us.... "more". ,-) Almost.

Well, this is a pretty entry, and a hint about it going to be a busy week... So, I guess we just have to keep biding our time....

-sound of nails clicking on desk-

    -that impatient sound-

    -you know?-

    -giggles-

  15. Fairies...how cute you've captured one in a jar, I wonder if she will be able to escape somehow, like I dream of Jeanie, does she have to be let out? :) perhaps I'll have to wait and see.

I have a recent appreciation for aprons, I love all of yours hanging in a row. Hmmm, memories are turning...do you mind me asking how many aprons do you have Vee?

Sewing them out of shirts! :o I can't wait to see yours!
