Winter Mosaic
Perhaps I should call it a Winter Quilt Mosaic since I used the photos more than once. I took fifty-seven photos. In the end, there were less than a dozen that I liked. Photography is not my calling, but I certainly do enjoy playing with it all the same.
We're looking forward to seeing some blue skies late this afternoon after three days of snow.

We've had to wait an extra day for the promise of blue skies...but they are blue...such a vivid blue that I had to share. And I love the pop of red in the STOP sign down the street.
Stay warm and cozy out there!

Good Morning, Vee! Your mosiac is pretty and does resemble a quilt! I like your use of the repeating picture! I haven't tried any mosiacs...got to do that! :) Looks like fun! ~Hope you are having a great week! hugs, Rhonda
ReplyDeleteBrrr...but isn't it funny that a cold-based collage can look so warm? It would nake a great quilt and I love how you got the corners so perfectly - would make a wonderful book cover...or a notepad cover...or a lap quilt..or..or..
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, new look here! You are having some fun. Wonnnnnnderful!
ReplyDeleteAnd wow, what a day, hu? :-)))) I can't stop grinning from ear to ear.
'Cause Aunt Amelia is mighty happy, this morning. :-)
Hugs, hugs, hugs...
It's beautiful! And I'm with you on photography, I enjoy it, but I have to take 100 pics to get 10 good ones! Have an awesome day!

Great quilt mosaic...you captured the feel of winter. And you discovered the secret of getting a few good photos...taking scads. That works well with digital photography...just pick the best and delete most!
ReplyDeletePretty mosaic! Love what you did.
ReplyDeleteThis *is* a great day!
Very creative, my Friend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are warm and cozy on this winter day.

Your photography looks pretty impressive to me. This is a very wintery mosaic and I love the little hearts. I'm guessing they might be on the top of a sheperd's hook??
ReplyDeleteOur weather has been spring-like this week which is a bit unusual for us this early. However, you don't hear me complaining.
Keep warm & cozy.
Love your mosaic! It's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think most people take a bunch of shots and only like some of them. Don't sell yourself short. Your photos are great!
Very pretty Vee! Winter is a palate of black and white with a splash of color.
ReplyDeleteToday is a blue sky day ... so delightful!
Just Beautiful Vee!
ReplyDeleteWe are having mild weather here in the Northwest...it feels more like spring than winter!
Blessings!
~Nadine
You asked about load time here, now. Seems quite fine, to me. :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry to be so long in answering this inquiry. All this being up-beat and happy, is slowing me down. LOL! I'm so unused to being upbeat, about the state of my Country. ,-)
But! Mr. Brown IS going to Washington! :-))))

Yes, I'll stop now. -grin-
Hi Vee, repeating the pics was a great idea for a mosaic. I been waiting for some sunny skies here but it is not in the plan I guess.

Hi Vee - I like your winter mosaic. What'd you do with all the other photos? You should make another one. I kind like that monochromatic tone that you've got going there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments on my farmhouse. In answer to your question, yes, we took the cabinet doors off the cabinets. It was so dark, and I had so many pretty, and colorful, and special dishes and pitchers that I wanted to show them off. My carpenter friend thought I was off my rocker, but I persisted. I love how it turned out and my friends do, too.
I'm so glad you're back... =o)
How pretty! Keep at it - it just takes practice!
ReplyDeleteYour mosiac is very pretty indeed. I think you did a great job. I wouldn't know where to begin to make one. I can see there are many possibilities as to what to do with them. a quilt would be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNice mosiac Vee.
ReplyDeleteWOW... what a gorgeous place!
