Meet Frosty the Cheeseball.
...with a lumpy frame and catnip arms and two eyes made out of peppercorns. Happy New Year!!!~in an email from my creative nieces.
And just to keep it real, they also sent me the death of Frosty the Cheeseball.
In a completely off-the-topic segue, do you think we can begin to say "twenty-ten" or must we continue with the "two thousand ten bit"? What do you think?
Okay then, I'm off to find a cheeseball dead or alive. Happy New Year, Dear Ones!
Edited to Add: Thought I'd drop in the latest creation by these gals...a tribute to Raymond Briggs of The Snowman fame. It was a two-day project working with precious little but a shovel and a cheese grater. They amaze me!
Too cute! Twenty ten it is - well here at least! Happy New Year to you both!
ReplyDeleteWe are opting for twenty ten!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New year!
Sorry, the educator in me will say two thousand ten because my little ones will be too confused by the difference!
ReplyDeleteI love the snowman cheeseball, I am sorry for his demise but I think all snowmen sort of go this way...
I wish I had contributed to the death of Mr. Frosty! LOL.
ReplyDeleteTwenty-ten for me! It just rolls better off the tongue.
Yes, but, Terri, do your students get confused by saying nineteen ten instead of one thousand nine hundred ten? ;>
ReplyDeleteTwenty 10...of course!
ReplyDeleteCute cheeseball...and obviously tasty as well.
Happy New Year, Vee & John! (and all others who reside at your residence!)
I always said 1999 or whatever so I will say twenty ten. I think I will find a cheeseball too. Blessings

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Dear Frosty! We hardly knew yeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
ReplyDelete-giggles-
Oh no! You stole my posting idea!!! -sniffle- -pout- No, not Frosty the Cheese Ball! The question of; "What will we say, 2 thousand and 10? Or twenty ten?" That idea.
I vote for twenty ten. :-)
And since you asked this, I expect you to post scientific results, in a day or two. ,-) And then you can announce; "The discussion is over!" You know, like the Green Powers-That-Be did with the Global Warming stuff. ,-)
First day of 20-10 hugs,
Aunt Amelia
Have I recently said Thank You for not making us do Word Verification, in order to leave Comments here? If not, I do now.
ReplyDeleteI use Comment Verification, so I read my Comments then. And no SPAM gets past me. So I don't need to have Word Verification turned on. But some people have both turned on. Eeeek!
Although I do know one gal, who said she had to do both, for some reason.
Anyway, thank you for being among the No Word Verification People. :-)
You're welcome! It's my little gift to my commenters. Even if I do deal with spammers from time to time hence the explanation given where you "leave your comment."
ReplyDeleteTwenty ten it is, great idea for a cheeseball, thanks for sharing.

Peace,Faith and Love in this New Year that is begining.Happy 2010!
ReplyDeletePersonally I like two thousand ten. It just sounds more dignified. :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi Vee, That is the neatest idea for a cheeseball! Hope that I can remember to do this next year! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and your family! ...and I like "twenty ten!" Didn't think of it that way, but I like it! :) ~hugs, Rhonda
Yum Yum! That looks good to me! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteRIP poor little cheeseball..and..Yum-OOO!
ReplyDeleteWell, Vee, here's my two cents for whatever it's worth.
ReplyDeleteDown here in Texas or at least EAST Texas, people have said '01, '02', '03 all the way up through '09. That's all I've heard. No two thousand - anything! We've always said '56 or '87' or '99. I guess in school, the teachers would say it correctly, like Terri!
I've been wondering what we Texans would say. The jury's still out - I'll let you know what I start hearing. I'm kinda likin' twenty-ten myself. But we'll see...
Vee, many, many blessings to you in twenty-ten (just had this conversation with someone on Facebook about the 2010 thing!). It is so good to have you back blogging again. You were so missed during your hiatus. I have just come to grips with the fact that the way my life is (and yours is probably this way, too, with all you've got going on), that I will just have to blog when I can ...in between the busy times. I pray for you and your loved ones a very blessed 2010!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year,
Christi
Frosty the Cheeseball is (was) soo cute.
ReplyDeleteI have been wondering about the correct way to say 2010 too. I am leaning toward twenty 10 as it seems to come out easier than the alternative.
Happy New Year!!
Twenty-ten here. I chuckled aloud at the demise of Frosty the Cheeseball. Your family has a great sense of humor! Happy New Year! ~Kathy
ReplyDeleteSunday, Jan 3rd -
ReplyDeleteA new look here! Very January-ish. The blue color and the photo of the *hanging-strings-of-ice*<--[what I call those things I can't remember the spelling of.] lol.
Gentle hugs...
Hi Vee, I just caught up reading your blog. So happy to see you blogging again. I've missed you.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to be back home. :-)
Twenty -Ten is what I'll be saying.
The cheese ball is too cute, and just hilarious that the death of frosty was even cuter! I hope that your new year is off to a fabulous start.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm!
Jennifer
Love you new banner! I saw icicles today here also, as the temperatures were in the teens...brr!
ReplyDeleteI think twenty ten will win out in popular vernacular, as that is what I've been hearing used most often.
Mr Frosty cheese ball looked tasty!
Happy first week of the new year! :-)
Oh, poor snowman... but I must admit, he does look tasty:-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Vee. I hope it brings you and your family good health and happiness.
Rhonda
Happy New year!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Vee!
ReplyDeleteI finally have some time to visit! And oh how I have enjoyed my time catching up with you!! Yes you DO have a magical place. And you make everything look so special in your cabin in the woods... got to be because you are so special and creative.
Loved your gorgeous glitter stars and the delightful birds. I'll be checking those out for future crafting. I need new ideas that are cost efficient!
Blessings to you and yours for a wonderful healthy prosperous twenty-ten!! Sherry
PS I fixed my link to Barbara Clark on my teeshirt post. DUH I'm so challenged sometimes. And yes Wes will wear the heck out of that shirt. Barb uses Lands End shirts (which are really good) and she said that the shirt will be worn out but the picture will still be in tack. Just wash it inside out. Oh how he loves it! I'll just frame the picture when the shirts life is gone!! LOL
"an older bald guy sitting on a log with all those rifles is hot. "
ReplyDeleteBut he's not old! I know the very first shot, makes him look older than he is. But he's just nicely 'in between.' >,-)
And he's not really cute or big either. But..... mmmmmmmmm... Watch the video. But not when anyone is around! lol. Or you'll be ... something will happen to you. -giggles-
But, on second thought, why wouldn't I think an old guy was hot? I'm old, remember? My views on males have changed, as I aged. I think a Santa Claus guy can be hot!
>,-)
Twenty-ten for me.
ReplyDeleteCheeseball snowman looks fun.
You have certainly got some snow now and wow those icicles. Your temps are obviously rising during the day.
This is too cute and I love those Lang calendars too.
ReplyDeleteTwenty ten for us.
ReplyDeleteI loved the cute story about Frosty the cheese ball. Looks yummy too!
I'm loving your new header...those icicles are amazing and very pointy. LOL
ReplyDeleteDid as you said... I left a link to my "Ode To Guns" over on [is it?] Sand Flats Farms blog. I got it right, whether I can remember the exact name now, or not.
ReplyDeleteThe video kept reloading?????????
Wow that snowman is so great! That cheeseball one is cute.
ReplyDeleteWe're saying twenty ten.
Manuela
So happy to have discovered your blog...it's cute! Love the SNOW man...he looks so real. PS; The cheese snowman was cute too.
