The grands had a delightful experience riding *The P*o*lar Express.* I get all sappy looking at the amazement on those little faces... The little guy couldn't get over his ticket...he's still talking about it. The train ride included hot chocolate, cookies, a ticket with each child's initial punched by the conductor, photos with the conductor, and a healthy dose of wonder.
Here's wishing us all a dose of wonder this season!
Disclaimer: Sadly, I was not on this journey. The photos were sent to me by my daughter-in-law whom one can see in the window reflection in the largest photo. My son is the only other adult besides the conductor. Thanks for looking and for all the sweet comments. Catch you another day...
Love the picture. If only we could always keep that wonder they have. I sure try to. :-)ReplyDelete
Have a happy day, my friend!
I have a two and a half year old grandson that would love that. He's crazy about the movie.ReplyDelete
Awww, how sweet!ReplyDelete
That's what's it all about Vee. Right there in those pictures... Gosh, I love little ones. :)
I posted and lost it! How did I manage that??ReplyDelete
I love this mosaic you've created to share these pictures. It captures the event. There is nothing quite like seeing the wonder of this time of year on the faces of our little ones. What a perfect experience for your little grandchildren.
Aren't they adorable...you've captured their wide-eyed wonder perfectly in this beautiful mosaic!ReplyDelete

Just looking at their faces makes me happy inside. Wide-eyed wonder, indeed.ReplyDelete
Ooh, I'm so ready for this first grandchild of ours to make an appearance! I'm getting all sorts of wonderful ideas from bloggers like YOU.
I think this just might be your cutest mosaic yet. I would be tempted to print it and put it in a frame. The looks on their little faces is precious and their hats are adorable!! Love this.ReplyDelete
Now this is something I would have loved to do with my little grands. I love how you put your pictures together. Your doing a wonderful job! Christmas tidings to all of you.ReplyDelete
You captured it perfectly. LOVE IT!ReplyDelete
Such wonderful memories they are making. This makes me want to run over to the Strasburg Railroad for their Christmas Train. Dinner as you ride...we haven't done that yet.
Maybe we should!
Great mosaic! I can think of a little guy that would have liked to join you.ReplyDelete
What a fun day for the grands! Don't you just love the child-like wonder in their expressions? Beautiful mosaic and great memory for them.ReplyDelete

Photos of memories, to preserve them, in pic form. :-)
Oh I love that part of the movie...and we watched it last night...so enjoyable with a four year old!! His eyes all aglow. We also rode on our own Polar Express for Christmas time two years ago...it was just magical...so these pictures are so precious. I vowed when we took our youngest that I hoped one day to take grandkids...Lord will I will!ReplyDelete
How Sweet! Your grandchildren are precious. What a great memory you've made for them.ReplyDelete
That's adorable. I have two grandsons that look to be about the same age as yours and the Polar Express is their favorite Christmas movie. Two Christmasas ago, when it first came out, I think we watched that movie with them at least 20 times!
How delightful! I know Chickie was always delighted by the book. It is always a joy to see special events-and every day events through the delight of children, isn't it?ReplyDelete
What fun! We just watched that movie...again! Now you have me singing the song! Hugs! ♥ReplyDelete
Oh Vee, what a wonderful thing to do!!!! What precious memories have been made, these children will NEVER forget this sweet friend, sending you hugs and love Vee, xxoo, DawnReplyDelete
The grands and their parents and myself went for the ride year before last. We had a blast.ReplyDelete
Our youngest is 9 now so her mom and I decided to do it all again. I want to do all these fun things with the grands..I enjoy it more than they do, I think.
We watched the movie last weekend and now we are all hyped up about going again. :)))
