We are having a rough day...very. It'll probably be a few more rough ones. Nan is scraped and bruised and hurting so much that we can barely touch her plus she is practically paralyzed. Needless to say, I'll catch you on the flip side. I'm not thinking such happy thoughts now about that doctor who looked all of fourteen. If I ever had to talk to her again, she'd get a piece of my mind that I could ill afford to lose. If anyone should have stayed in the hospital for a few days, it's Nan. We're actually waiting on word from her doctor.
Thank you for all your prayers. We're surely going to need them. I'll be thinking of you all, too.
Lifting you to the Father this very moment!
ReplyDeletePraying for you and Nan, Vee. Geriatric medicine is a whole 'nother thing, and I'm not sure most doctors really "get" it.
ReplyDeleteHang in there. I wish Nan and you weren't having to go through this.
Oh Vee, I am praying for you and most definitely for Nan.
ReplyDeleteOh so sorry. And I was just saying how happy I was that Nan got to come home.
ReplyDeleteOf course prayers are being said for all of you!!
I missed your post yesterday and just left a comment there. You have every right to be kinda furious. Do you think that when you do speak to the dr. you could kinda insist that Nan needs to be in the hospital? It seems like it might be the best place for her if she is in that much pain.
ReplyDeletePrayers continue.
so very sorry..but I just had to tell you how beautiful you Nan is gently petting the kitten..what an amazing photo!
ReplyDeleteI'm sending up prayers and love to you and to Nan - hope you can feel them as I type..
Oh no! I hope Nan's personal physician was helpful, Vee. What a difficult situation you are in. Saying prayers right this minute that a good solution will be found to help Nan recover in less pain.
ReplyDeleteI am praying for you.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have the nicest doctor, my opinion of the health care right now is not very favorable.
It's so much about money and not about the patient.
Arrgghhhh.....so frustrating. Praying for You...John...and Nan.
ReplyDeleteWe're saying extra prayers for Nan. God bless her and your family! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh Vee, I'm so sorry to here about Nan.
ReplyDeleteGentle hugs and prayers coming for you.
Leann
Oh Vee, I am praying that Nan gets a bed. It seems unbelievable that she would not be admitted. Health care in Canada has it's fair share of critics but we wouldn't be seeing this. It is really sad that someone who has lived so long needs to suffer in a country she must love.
ReplyDeleteI'd be kinda furious as well!
ReplyDeleteHopefully her Dr. will have something useful to say about all of this.
I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. I can only imagine what you are going through right now... :(
((Hugs))

So sorry about your Nan's fall ... I can imagine how she (and you!) must feel. Prayers are with you both. xox
ReplyDeleteKinda furious...I'd be absolutely furious. Poor Nan...so much pain with a medical society who doesn't seem to really care. Thank God she has you! I know this has to be not only physically but emotionally tiring...hang in there. One step, one moment at a time. God Bless all of you.
ReplyDeleteYour posts are very helpful to us - to help us know how to pray.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to the 3 of you, and my prayers as well.
I am praying for peace, rest, strength.
I think of you and your Nan through the day, and continue to pray as I do.
Lovella said it so well! There is no reason someone who is of advanced age should have to suffer without adequate medical treatment!
ReplyDeleteHealth care in America is a real disappointment to me right now!
Oh I"m so sorry to hear about Nan's fall and I can't believe they didn't keep her for at least observation overnight! Honestly! Prayers for you both!

I am so sorry Vee. It is so frustrating to be at the mercy of such craziness. My mom says that in Vermont because of the shortage of bed, she sees countless elderly returned to home only to be in the ambulance again. She always complains that the way the elderly are treated is awful, and she is right.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with you Vee.
Karen
Vee, I am so sorry for what you and Nan have been going through. Praying for both of you. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteCheryl
I'll be praying for all of you and the whole situation right now.
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers for you and Nan! Bless her heart and body!
ReplyDeleteYour family is in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cathie
