Refrigerator door decorations don't usually make me this happy, but these pretty postcards have a spot front and center and they make me smile whenever I see them. That's all the reason I need to keep them right there.
Four blogging buds have sent a postcard. It all started with Suzanne of At Home with the Farmer's Wife. Then the card from Judy @ My Front Porch. Next was Pat's @ Mille Fiori Favoriti. The last was from Penny @ The Comforts of Home.
Do you think that it would be fun to send someone a postcard and get one in return? I've another spare floating about in addition to the two being returned to two gals here. First one who says she wants it, gets it.
Couldn't help myself with the mosaic, its being Monday and all.
I do have a secret reason for gathering postcards. Wanna see?
Check out all those pictures (postcards?) above the bed! How's that for a mosaic? I kinda like it. No, I really like it.
Have a great Monday out there...
How very fun. Hmmm...the postcards over the bed are very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI would never be able to get them that straight!
Here is hoping and praying that you have a much better week!
Hugs!

How fun! I am glad mine made it there. I love the looks of those postcards over the bed!! Love that whole room in fact.
ReplyDeleteHope your week is a wonderful one.
Hugs,
Penny
Though I saw postcards on display throughout our travels...it seems not many are buying and sending them anymore. So they are a 'fun touch from the past'!
ReplyDeleteI think we need to know your bedroom colour scheme before we send more postcards...since I see the headboard used only colour co-ordinated postcards.
If you are still looking of someone to claim your last postcard...and ship to Canada...try me.
Oh no, Judy, you are already included as is Pat so the postcard offer is still open. :D
ReplyDeleteColor coordinated? Oh my heck. I didn't even notice.
What a fun idea. I'll send you an Arizona one. Just email me your address. I go into antique shops and spend a lot of my standing going through old postcards. I think they are so cute.
ReplyDeleteI like that idea of the postcards over the bed. Really nice!!
ReplyDeleteWow! The postcards over the bed is a really neat idea!! They are so versatile...I wonder what a display of vintage postcards would look like? Hmmmm....now you've got ME thinking!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your day is full of God's joy!
Blessings,
Liane
Lovely bed and cover and the postcard idea is great.
ReplyDeleteDid you know Alexandra Stoddard collects postcards and has a book all about them?
ReplyDeleteShe wrote it long ago.
I love post cards, Vee, and save every one that I get! Many of my husband's relatives have sent us postcards from Italy over the years and I have many from my sister-in-law's relatives in Ireland. I love looking at them from time to time. I'm trying to collect a postcard from every state I visit that has state facts on it like the state flower and bird, etc. I want to put them all in an album to give them to my grandson when he's older so he can learn all about the 50 states.
ReplyDeleteThat bedroom is really nice and the way they displayed the post cards is a fun idea!
I've collected postcards for years, mostly when I was a child but I still cannot resist picking up a few wherever I go. There is simple elegance in the straight lines of the postcards and of that gorgeous pinwheel quilt, as well as the bed. I am not a refrigerator decorator myself.
ReplyDeletewhat a brilliant idea, and i bet you will soon
ReplyDeletebe inundated with them! so many of us are
especially fond of you. :)
Very cute idea. The best of both worlds ~ travelling the world without leaving the comfort of your bed.
ReplyDeleteThe postcards are so much fun! I wish I had gotten in on the big trade! lol Maybe next time! Somebody let me know next time! heehee! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh, I like that too! Golly, if I had your address, I could send you a post card from Canada in a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love that photo too.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a week that's "uneventful."
Leann
Hi sweet Vee! I just love postcards...how wonderful that you're trading them too ~ and I just love the mosaic over the bed!!! I would love to make one like this with this book of wonderful old French postcards I have...I hope you are doing great dear friend, taking a little time just for you ~ hugs and love, Dawn
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! I like the idea of the postcards as a mosaic on the wall...cool! Hope you have a good week and that Nan is better.

What a fun idea for postcards. I used to have a great collection from travels when at sea with Alan but some years ago gave them away to a collector.
