Autumn Dreams~Mosaic Monday

The leaves in my corner are past peak and, after the Nor'easter last Friday, many have been lost prematurely. I'm still taking a lot of pictures before it all fades to brown because, no matter what's been said in the past week, this is my favorite season.

A brief explanation:

1. Playing with layers and gradients in Photoshop
2. A ladybug in her orange phase just before turning red
3. A Ground Bouquet...I'm taking lots of photos of these as I'm always amazed by how artfully the leaves land (No, I do not rearrange them.)
4. A large piece of birch bark, which will feature prominently in tomorrow's "failed" mosaic (maybe...depends on crazy modem)
5. A birthday bubble balancing on top of the fence post

Please visit Mary at Little Red House for more mosaics!

(Concerning computer woes — another visit from the techies tomorrow. The service is sporadic at best, but I will be visiting as it allows.)

  5. Enjoyed your autumn mosaic and visiting your blog. I read your blogging thoughts and tend to agree--or have similar thoughts. It's always good to be evaluating things in life ... have a good week.

  6. We'll be lucky to have leaves in another week or two. That's the sad part for me - losing the layer of privacy around our yard. The thing I welcome about late fall and winter is getting some work done inside.

Is that one of those nasty Asian Lady Beatles that try and get into our home every fall?

  8. Oh Vee, I'm so envious of your Fall colors. Here in Texas we are still green with a bit of yellows, golds and oranges beginning to pop up with the Mums and a few trees. Lovely mosaic and I really liked the numbered key and explanation of your photos. Thanks for visiting my Jack In The Basket post!

  13. Hi Vee!! Oh, my what gorgeous Fallness of color! I wish we could experience the color change of leaves here. We're actually going on a Fall Leave Cruise leaving this Friday!! I'm so hoping the leaves will stay on the trees for us.
Thanks for much for popping in to see me.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  19. Your mosaic is simply, "lovely"!!!

I LOVE, LOVE this season too. I guess it's from growing up in New England and always looking forward to the Fall colors, cooler days, and pumpkins.

Having a wonderful mild Fall here in Montana, frosty mornings, but sunny warm days...I'm in heaven!

  22. Sorry you're having problems with your computer and I'm so glad part of the "sporatic" time was given so we could enjoy your terrific mosaic! Love fall and love these photos! Great post..

  23. I love the color, and texture in your mosaic! Autumn is beautiful if I can only focus on all the colors it brings..Otherwise, I'm dreading the harsh winter that following.

I can also understand your feelings with spam comments, and I have to chose moderation. The spammers that come to my blog are from nasty porn sites..It's disgusting!!!

  24. Softly pretty glimpses, of Autumn...

Good luck with the computer woes. Wondering just what went wrong? Would think the storm "took something out." But if so, if "the something" was fixed, all would be fixed.

But if the fix is only sporadic... Hmmmmm.... Interesting....

  27. Aunt Amelia~

It's bizarre. I've been trying to get on since 7:05 this morning and it's now 9:50. It could "go" at any time. Something must be loose. That's all I can think. Anyway, I spend a lot of time looking at this modem and wondering when the lights will go out or when the online button will go to solid instead of blinking. All I know is that the online button must blink or the computer and the internet are not communicating. Still waiting for the technicians. I don't even dare to try to post today until they do.

  28. Oh, Vee...I love these!! And, I see that you are a Northeastern gal? Might I ask how close you are to little old Vermont? Your words are sounding close to home ♥

I really enjoyed how you put together your mosaic and the numbering, sharing....very nice :)

  34. Another lovely mosaic, Vee. That little ladybug is such a sweet addition. I am going to be keeping my eyes out for "ground bouquets". I don't think I've been paying enough attention to how the leaves fall.
Hope you computer problems are soon gone for good.

  36. Hi, Vee! I love your fall mosaic...such nice rich fall colors. I don't think we'll have good color this year in MO, darn it. I am seeing a lot of those pesky beatles arriving now and how they find their way into my house, I'll never know!

    Have a great day,
    Cheryl
