John and I had a pretty good time at the F*ryeburg Fair last Friday. I've talked about this premier fair of M*aine before right
*here.* There was a lot about food on that post and one photo because I didn't take my camera that year. This year John said, "The food doesn't smell as good as it did thirty years ago." Correct! This year it smelled like heartburn and a tummy ache. ;>

The end of a lovely and exhausting day...
that wagon looks quite elaborate!
ReplyDeleteI love fairs and crafts and animals and the gypsy wagons!!!! Wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteOH! I wish I had gone to that fair! It looks like a great one. :)
ReplyDeletewell, i didn't get to go to the fair this year,
ReplyDeletebut now i feel a if i did! what lovely
photos! i especially loved the gypsy
wagons, as last night some friends told
a hilarious story about having a massage
in instanbul by gypsies.
i'm glad you had fun at the fair.
How fun! {and your header is perfection!}
ReplyDeletem ^..^
Why is it that those foods we loved and devoured as kids don't always sit as well as they used to.
ReplyDeleteLots of things to see and do at a fair and you got really great photos!
Oh you like the same things as I do..the animals and the quilts! Love all the photos and LOVE the frames on them :-)
ReplyDeleteFall fairs are always fun to attend and all the animals nice to see. I usually head for the baking and preserves competitions.
ReplyDeleteLove the Fair pictures! So much to see, looks like a fantastic day, but I can see be exhausted when it's over. Fun pics!
ReplyDeleteAww...great pictures. That little Donkey stole my heart. Miss Sarah keeps asking for a donkey, I think if I knew he would be that cute we would have to say yes! Have a wonderful week!!
ReplyDeleteWendy
Looks like a wonderful day. Love the shot with all the quilts. Take care and enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteHi Vee! How wonderful! You must have had a ball! The little bunny is darling.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I haven't been to a fair in ages...all your wonderful photos are taking me back :-)
ReplyDeleteVee, You are so good with your Mosaics, loved all of the photos, and I am so glad you and John had this time together.
ReplyDeleteOur State Fair begins this week, and I had a handsome gentleman just today invite me to go with him. After seeing your photos, I think I might give him a hearty Yes. lol.
Sending much love and prayers today.
Hugs,
Sue
Quilts, guitar, wagon -- which is my favorite? Can't decide.
ReplyDeleteSuch great photo's. We went to Dallas, NC for their Cotton Ginning Days and had a fun time. Thanks for taking me along in pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you two had a wonderful time at the fair! There was so much to look at in your mosaics, Vee. They were fun! I think the quilts are my favorite and I would probably have risked heartburn to eat some of the food :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the weather held out as the sky looked a little ominous in some of your photos!
I so agree about the food. Everything on a stick these days and not a healthy nibble. I love those colorful shots of your fair!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mosaics. Love the variety.
ReplyDeleteI'm a avid crafter so I love this kind of stuff
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures
What a lot of fun this must have been - a real old-fashioned fair!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful and creative! Looking at all the gorgeous pictures on these mosaics and all of your pictures, I'm really feeling the need to find something that fills that desire of creativity, autumn, and beauty. I know there must be something near. I just haven't found it, yet. I don't recall a county fair here, but there must have been one. We'll be going to the state fair next year. It's in July/August. This time of year is so much better and these pictures have made me realize that I'm missing something special.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the fair through your eyes! It looks like it was a great fair.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
Vee,
ReplyDeleteI love that gypsy wagon!!! Did you get to go inside? I might have been tempted to trot away in it on some adventure. Great mosaic post and the highlighted horses hind end made me laugh but the lighting was perfection! Have a great day!
Glad that you got the joke, Miss Sandy! If I'd have known how beautiful a horse's @$$ could be, I'd have stopped using the term in a derogatory way long ago.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had your camera this time. The fair looks like a fun day. Love the little snoozing bunny photo.
ReplyDeleteOh beautiful fair pictures. It seems late for a fair. ..but then you are not in Canada. .right?
ReplyDeleteI did like to see where that stagecoach was headed.
What gorgeous photos! I love the colorful wagons....and the farm animals! I'm going back to look again! ♥
ReplyDeleteMy two favorite things at the fair. Animals and quilts. I want them all.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos.
ReplyDeleteAnd I clicked on your link and went back and read about what you ate at the fair, back then. Eeeeeeeeeeeeek!!! -giggles- Don't know how you *survived*!
And 0 comments, there. So I made a comment there. And got the message that you had Comment Moderation Setting on. WOW! And super, if you have gone this route. You know I love Comment Moderation!
Now to try to make this Comment Publish, and see if the setting is on, here. Or still... Or whatever. :-)
Nope.......... Oh now I know!!!! People say that they put Comment Moderation on, for older post comments. Gotcha'.
ReplyDeleteBut... what good does that do? Do SPAM'ers actually waste their time, putting SPAM on old posts? Why???? Who reads old posts? Seems kind of non-productive to me.
Well, since you use this setting, you'd know. Do SPAM'ers try to put SPAM in comments of old posts???
Oh yes! They do waste their time going back to old posts. Ask me how I know! Thanks for the new comment on such an old post, Aunt Amelia.
ReplyDeleteWow, great photos. I think I'd rather have gone to your fair than the one I went to this weekend. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love a fair! Beautiful mosaics!
ReplyDeleteThe tired bunny at the end was priceless! Love all the pics! Aren't county fairs just grand?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the variety of pictures. It must have been a wonderful day- I enjoyed the photos of all the animals and the quilt exhibit would have fascinated me!
ReplyDeleteOh, I DO love the state fair and our class is going three tomorrow! My hubby is so glad that he no longer has to go with me! I will be eating all that "heartburn" food because I will take my Prilosec in the morning! LOL Seriously, I WILL!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos--they are gorgeous!
V
Great fair shots!
ReplyDeleteLinsday
Looks like a great fair. We used to love going to the fairs and the harness racing when we lived in Maine. I'm loving being back in New England.
