ReplyDeleteI read sidebars if I have the time and usually if I am new to a blog.
I have found some very sweet blogs this way.

Sorry to say No I do not read sidebars! Am I missing something? Maybe I should start!
ReplyDeleteAs a sidebar reader, I have been through your gate many times. I do most of my blog visiting through those on my sidebar, those on other people's sidebars and those stored in my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's just the way I've always done it and haven't bothered to do it through following or the other methods of reading blogs. I guess I'm just an old fashioned girl :).
I scan them every once in a while...I agree, there is alot of good stuff there :)

ReplyDeleteYes I do read sidebars... but not closely. Hence I didn't know you have another blog, which I'm hopping over to now!! I've found lots of great places using sidebar info. This blog world is like a huge mammoth tree with so many branches you can't count them. It's nice to venture onto another branch out there of creativity.

PS The number of comments have always been an issue with all of us. I know blogs that shut down because of too few comments. So I try to focus on the people I know & adore here in blogland for them to be a part of my life. I've cut down to 1 post a week at the most and sometimes I don't have the time to visit as much as I want. The older I get the more tired I am after working all day, this retirement job is killing me!!
You are one of the people in blogland that I admire and adore so don't you go anywhere Missy Vee!
No, I do not read through Sidebars, after the first visit, usually. Don't have the T-I-M-E!
ReplyDeleteThe TOP of the Sidebar, is the place which is most likely to be noticed, though. [Or so "they say"] So that's where I put my links to what I feel are important reading.
Does anyone read there? Don't know. But some do, 'cause they've told me so.
And you misunderstood, my Dear. I have toddled through 'the gate.' :-)

I used to read sidebars...not so much anymore. I will walk through your gate today...haven't been there in ages!
ReplyDeleteNo I don't. I also have my blog friends page that updates all my favorite blogs. .and that is who I visit. I do make new friends though when I find a clever commenter on someone blog that I enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes glance at side bars. I didn't know you had another blog though. I think I look at the top of others side bars, figuring anything new will be there.

ReplyDeleteDo I read sidebars? Sometimes. I do on new blogs. And, I'll sometimes read the blog lists and find a new blog that interests me. But, for the others that have the same thing all the time (like mine!), then no.

Yes I read side bars, and like you find lots of great stuff. You learn a lot about the blogger.I find a lot of great blogs too. I used to have a separate blog for my fav. sites and like you found not many people visited it, and when I put it back on my side bar, I find that they do. go figure.

Sidebar? Not so much...but at one time I did go down thru' the sidebars & bookmarked the blogs that I especially enjoyed. Now I try to become a follower and that way I am notified of an update & don't waste so much time checking each blog. I don't get very many comments on my blog & sometimes it bothers me, but I can tell by the number of visits that people are reading. I enjoy blogging but sometimes have to put it aside as it is time consuming! Keep up the good work...I am a follower!

ReplyDeleteSometimes I love them, because it introduces me to new blogs. I used to have a separate blog just for my favorites, until they grew and GREW and GREW. Yikes, can you believe I follow 1,000 blogs. I have been doing this too long.

We've been in the process of going from NC to Florida for the winter so I have been slow on visiting my favorites again.

I must admit, that I read most of my blogs in Google Reader and only really visit when I'm going to comment. Sad hunh? I found a lot of blogs that I now follow through other people's side bars - yours included.

I do read sidebars. I also love to, when I have time, (which doesn't seem very often lately)scan people's blog links and visit those whom they link with!
ReplyDeleteI will check out your other blog. Thanks for visiting the Mermaids, Vee. The berries you asked about are a deep, bright orange and they the tree is called Mountain Ash. The birds love them and they ferment on the tree (or big bush) and the birds get drunk! Aren't they gorgeous?
