A Day Away

We, John and I, had determined that the first good day before
Memorial Day we would travel north and be certain that things had been taken care of properly. Like so many others this week, we were visiting a cemetery, buying flowers, tending graves, and making sure that all was well.

It was such a beautiful day that I'm just going to share a few pictures and run off and enjoy this beautiful day, too.

Enjoy your day...

  3. Ahhhhhhhhhh, that's what you were doing... And not blogging daily, as is your usual way.

And as you've seen (in e-mail) I was checking up on you. ,-) Asking if "everything is OK" and the like.

Perhaps you'll just *have to* signal me, before you take a day-off-from-blogging. LOL! A smoke signal or something. -grin- 'Cause I am such a "pain." :-)

Yes, the new A/C unit in the bedroom was wonnnnnnderful, all ways. You know I hate to spend money, but I am so glad that he pushed for doing this. And I told him so too! After the lovely night's sleep I got last night!

Yup, I ADMITTED that he was RIGHT, to have it installed.... And I was wrong, to not want to do it. Seeeeeeeeeee, how *super-wonderful* I can be?!? Once in a while. ,-)))))))

  6. I love the photo of the long straight road to the lake. Such a gorgeous sky with the green trees. I can just imagine riding a bicycle down the hill with the wind in my hair.

Glad you had a beautiful day out. Enjoy today's beauty!

So, I'm eager to see what you'll be posting that's similar to what I posted.

  11. Oh heck Vee, I am so homesick and this sent me to heaven. Is that Damariscotta Lake or?

    Thanks for the beauty.

  12. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I think melted chocolate on toast topped with strawberries would be equally delicious. In fact, one thing I want to try soon is melted a square of dark chocolate on toast and topping it with a little sea salt.

  14. Mom visits Dad's adorable cemetery as often as she can and spruces it up. She was a bit put out that there was a new, close neighbor at her last visit....but when she thought about it she came to be o.k.
We had a chuckle together about it.

    Your photos are awesome!!

No swans, though? Well, I happen to know where I might find some....

  18. That looked like a beautiful ride and I'm sure you and John were deep in thought during it. My husband and I often visit the graves of of our parents who are buried out on Long Island. After all these years we are still filled with emotion when we do.

Hope you enjoyed a lovely day today!
