What To Do When Blogging Isn't an Option

When blogging isn't an option, my recommendation is to be your hubby's sidekick while he works on some projects around the house. You can steady posts, pass tools, take pictures, bring water, take pictures, fetch things, take pictures, take pictures, and take some more pictures. It'll be sure to impress him.

Now we have a new mailbox and the crack in the foundation has been fixed. That's a very good thing. While I didn't impress him too much, he certainly impresses me!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Your day of no blogging was more interesting than mine...I did laundry. Although, Warren was off so we did go to a local restaurant for brunch. That was fun.

  3. A productive non bloggy day is just the thing sometimes, especially if it is combined with hubby time :)

Yours was the only comment that made it through before my post went byebye.

    Have a lovely weekend!

  5. -chuckle- Be a "side-kick" hu? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, how about getting some exercise and doing some yard work, around the place? :-) Hu? Hu? Hu? :-)

Yes, I can 'crow' because that's what I did. Got the back yard all neated-up and got my exercise in. Oh wow, did I get my exercise in!!!! LOL!

Seems it's taken me 74 years, but I've finally taken up gardening, of a sort. Who says you can't teach an old dog, new tricks??????

  7. I actually enjoyed the "day off" that blogger provided without charge. It was comforting to my heart that my problem was everybody else's problem, too. :)

  10. Vee,

That was quite something! No blogger. I had gotten up early and figured I would catch up since I had not posted or visited for a week or so and I had the whole morning!

I am glad you helped your husband - I went shopping with a girlfriend and out to lunch. A delightful day.

  11. I too was the "lovely assistant" to a hubby project. We lost some branches from a bad winter storm. These branches were cracked and dangling about 30 feet high. He got this gadget at Home Depot and was able to saw down the branch while I tugged on it. I got a thank you recognition too!

  12. Hiya Vee:) It stormed here yesterday/last night, so really, it was a non issue about getting on the computer.(although it did bug me to not get online and then when I saw blogger wasn't working earlier in the morning..well..) --

Whenever I ask to help out..he is like--"WHYYYYYYYYY?" I am lucky to have such a handy man too. Blessings

  13. The one day this week that I could blog, Blogger decided to take a vacation, and I was wondering how everyone was doing, and if there was any withdrawals, but you seem to have found another sandbox to play in. LOL
John did a great job, and I have a guy who impresses me more each day too.
Enjoyed catching up on your other posts as well. Your photography skills are great and beautiful.

Your post on Simple Comforts and Restlessness I throughly enjoyed reading and can so relate to. I have tried to really take time and enjoy the simple pleasures given to me each day by my Heavenly Father. And it seems you have as well.
What a treasure and blessing you are Vee,
    Hugs,
    Sue

  14. Vee, What a great way to spend time not blogging!
Isn't it wonderful to be married to a Mr. Fix-it?

  15. Wow, he impresses me too! What a great way for you to honor him. Down side is that the husbands will probably now be the ones praying blogger into failure...

  17. Spring time chgores are keeping you and John busy!
I've enjoyed a few non blogging days in a new place..it seems I'm always on the go these days. I'll post about it on Monday. If Blogger had to take a break they took it right along with me ..lol!

  20. Unfortunately, Mr. B is not the handyman type. His mother married first the academic type then the carpenter/handyman. I kid Mr. B that I am going to ditch him and find a handyman. How wonderful to have a man who can fix things, build shelves and fences!

  21. Your Mr. HoneyDo is very impressive, indeed. Tell him he is a sweetie to do all these things for you. I, too, am happy to have a I. CAN. DO.IT.
fella and it sure is nice. Only problem, my list gets too long and I have to modify it a little so it won't be totally overwhelming. :))

  22. Vee, thank you so much for your sweet comment ...I will try to not be discouraged, but the timing of Blogger's latest glitches is seriously suspect. ;) I was wondering what in the world I did to make Blogger just disappear for hours. He he. Anyway, I loved your post.

    Blessings,
    Christi

If comments disappear, please don't fret. A simple "hi" will do. The platform surely needs some maintenance.
