I am grateful that I took pictures of the azalea in full bloom on that last good day before the rain set in nine days ago. At least we had a day to enjoy it! From beginning to end is two weeks' time...not quite enough.
The next thing up in garden news will be the peonies. I was gifted with my indoor bouquet, which is simply stunning. I'm looking forward to my outdoor peony blossoms. Another week or ten days perhaps. Who knows this year with spring being so capricious.
I cannot wait for the peonies to bloom and I can bring some indoors. Beautiful mosaic:)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! I love your shots of these beautiful flowers...all of our azaleas and peonies are gone now...mostly the the wind and rain...
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week!!!
Beautiful mosaics Vee. Oh how I love peonies!
ReplyDeleteNO peonies here in south Texas, but I'm sure happy that I can look at your beautiful pictures and enjoy your azaleas and peonies. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVee,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you stopped by tonight! I have been looking for some of your past comments because I know you came by and I didn't return the comment. So I am thrilled to see you and I am so glad to be able to come by. Your azaleas are very pretty! I love the shot of them by the fence with all of the blossoms scattered about. I have been a bad commenter for around a month. I had some severe allergies and couldn't get myself straightened out, but have been almost back to normal this week. Thank you so much for coming by and visiting me and leaving a kind comment or two!

I love peonies - there's nothing as opulent as a bouquet of peonies.
ReplyDeleteYour azaleas are lovely - ours bloomed and dropped much to quickly this year.
Just beautiful! Your mosaics are so artistic and the flowers are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love the azalea's and peonies.
ReplyDeleteBEautiful azaleas and I envy you the peonies .. can't grow them here. Gorgeous mosaics. Have a delightful week.
ReplyDeleteVee - your photos are lovely. i'm glad to hear you got such enjoyment from your lovely boquet!
ReplyDeleteOh Vee, how beautiful! I'm so glad you took those pictures before the rain set in. We have gotten so much precipitation, between all the snow and rain, that I don't know how much more the ground can take around here... I could actually hear the rain water percolating in the ground one day...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bouquet! Can't wait to see your outdoor peonies. :)
xoxo
Such pretty photographs! I love azaleas and peonies...this time of year is so much fun, watching everthing show out for Spring!!!
ReplyDeletePeonies. Just gorgeous and the most wonderful part of spring! I am so glad you are having a beautiful one! Can't wait to see your blooms!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your azaleas, Vee. I have a rhododenron the same color and I love it! It just began blooming this week -- I'll have to get some photos of it if the rain will hold off. There has been so much rain this spring!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed seeing the artifacts on the Tribune Tower --I couldn't get over what a interesting idea that was!
Wonderful mosaic with pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteMy peonies are blooming now and I sure hope the hail we had this evening didn't ruin them. Thankfully we didn't have quite the storms many had in other areas of my state. Your mosaic is so pretty and so is that bouquet of peonies. They have such a nice scent.
ReplyDeletePeonies are so wonderful to look forward to & enjoy...I love their fragrance and their large blooms. Ours are a memory, along with the azaleas. Enjoy your bouquet & your blooms to come :-)
ReplyDeleteI just love azaleas and I ogle them in the nurseries but I can't grow them. Yours is lovely. V
ReplyDeleteVee,
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures today and I really love the background you used in the mosaics. I would love to find something like that.
The boxes are almost filled. It was a long day yesterday.....
Have a wonderful week.

COOL "4 Seasons" Header!!!
ReplyDeleteLove new Header pics.<--As if you didn't know that hu? -grin-

Your mosaic is simply beautiful!!!! All of it.
ReplyDeleteMosaics have come a long way, I see. In ways to assemble them, I mean. Back when I was trying to do them, it was very 1-2-3-4. Couldn't do much, but put the pics in rows. Now, there must be all sorts of lovely choices, for the composition. :-)

We have 1 azalea here at the Comforts of Home and not a single peony. I love peonies. I need to plant some...
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Monday Vee.

ReplyDeleteYour peonies are most beautiful! My garden peonies are about ready to burst into bloom...and I am ready too. Peony season is always too short for me!
ReplyDeleteI noticed this morning that my wisteria is blooming. Do you have wisteria out your way?
Have a fabulous 'Victoria Day'!
Just beautiful...what a wonderful simple and enjoyable pleasure.
ReplyDeleteMy rhodos, at least the red ones, have been blooming and the peonies are anxious to get going...hopefully they hold back a bit longer until the weather stays consistently warm. I love the colours in your photos today. Stunning
ReplyDeleteYour azaleas are beautiful and our peonies are at about the same budding. I love peonies too ..and always prefer the rain while they are budding and not when they are blooming. Some years I'm happy ..and some years not.
ReplyDeleteYour azalea mosaic is most beautiful. I hope you are able to enjoy your peonies without the rain interfering.
ReplyDeleteAzalea are so pretty. I wish they would last longer as I wish all the spring flowers would.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful flowers. Sure wish they lasted longer. Azaleas are long gone here and never had any luck with peonies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Azaleas and peonies are the prettiest of late spring flowers, with peonies leading the pack in my book. Your bouquet is lovely and I hope you soon enjoy blossoms from your garden.
ReplyDeleteI have one peony bush in the yard - now that the deer can't get at it, it's growing quite well, but I don't see any buds forming yet. Rats.
Your azaleas have bloomed? Lucky you for the flowers, but not the rain. UGH. The pictures are beautiful. (Actually, locally, azaleas won't survive our winters. Rhododendrons will if protected in the winter. Roses don't do very well, either. Gets too cold without snow for insulation and freezes and thaws too much.)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful........... I love this time of year! So many lovely things to enjoy in our gardens and lives.
