The clouds are the story these days. Clouds and deep blue water and perhaps the the deep water flowing through my basement, which may or may not be blue...ahem.
I find myself wondering what's up in Blogdom...must check it out!
Someone is always doing something!!! I am visiting now because I have 10 more minutes before I need to go upstairs and bring he babies down. Sorry about your basement!! We don't have those down here....but if we did....
Water, sky and clouds ... three of my favourite things! The sky has been such a lovely shade of blue lately. I find myself looking up more just to enjoy it! xoxo
you always have the best photos, I hope that water stays out of your basement!! The tea cp in your header is my favorite pattern, I have one just like that!
I am sorry about your basement. I have a friend who has been working for days to clean out her basement where the rain water came in. Take care of yourself.
Oh dear, sorry to hear of the water in your basement Vee. Do you have sump pumps like we do? Ours only runs in the spring but next door's runs off and on all summer. Since we're not too far from the lake, apparently the land our houses are on was marshy and backfilled before they started building. Across the road, their lawn is like a sponge all summer even when we have a drought. Yikes! Judith
You have an indoor swimming pool now??? And its downstairs so you don't need to worry about sun burn or folks checking you out as you swim? La dee dah! (Lemons...lemonade...blah blah blah.)
Uh oh! That's not nice. We had heavy rain this afternoon again (as in it rained a lot the past 3 weeks and we don't need any more!) and the sump pump ran a while ago. The ground is so saturated. The photo is beautiful and I'm sure the lake isn't lacking for water this year. I love the names of the lakes and rivers in New England. Sunshine on the way for the next 5 days by the way. I hope you get it too and that we all dry out.
Hope those gorgeous clouds bring sunshine soon..... Sorry about your basement. We have an old farm house and we call it the cellar - there's almost always a trickle of water down there - ugh!
Oh no! Deep water in your basement?! The East has surely had its share of liquid precipitation this year. I am sorry that some of it has drained into your basement. :(
Three months of rain! Wow. That's probably enough to keep the lake more than full. And the basement - not fun at all. Your photo is beautiful, full of the richness of late summer (and lots of rain.)
Oh, I would dearly love to be out on that water right now without a care in the world! In my mind, that's where I pretend to be. This is quite a lovely photo. So restful, so peaceful. And the comfort of those big billowy clouds come straight from God himself.
I am in sad need to preparing and publishing a blog post. At least I got the next photo challenge post crossed off my to-do list! Slowly, but surely, I'm digging myself out of the hole...
I'm sorry about the water in your basement. We had that problem in the spring when we got way too much rain. It seems to happen every year anymore, so we're going to have a major foundation project going on this fall. Major expense, too, so there goes the vacation. Oh well. I'm tired of cleaning up after the water.
Beautiful lake photo! I hope the rains have eased up in your part of the world.

Lovely photo of the sky and the lake. I hope you don't get anymore rain now. Cleaning up after water in the basement is no fun. That happened to me last summer.

Oh no! Water in the basement is nowhere nearly as beautiful as those clouds. Sadness.

Lake P is very pretty.
How wonderful to have a basement, but water diminishes that feeling. We've had that experience and can empathize.
ReplyDeleteThe photo is beautiful. What lovely clouds!
The clouds look peaceful..sorry you have had so much rain. Sorry about your basement...no fun!
