Sam Gets His Summer Back
~Sam Kayaking~taken by my daughter with her iPhone~
This grand is one tenacious boy. He has had a broken bone of one kind or another since March of 2012. As of last Wednesday, he is a free man — no more casts, no more pins and rod, no more fixes gone horribly wrong. His family is so happy and Sam is thrilled to have his August back. As you can see, he's already on an adventure.
All I can say is Praise God and thank you to all who have prayed for him.
I am thankful that Sam is now able to enjoy summer fun. What a great photo; his smile says it all.
ReplyDeleteHappy boy! My friend's son just got his cast off and he immediately went to the pool. Summer is a hard time to have a cast!
ReplyDeleteBoys will be boys anytime. They forget and the grown ups wait for next time. :))
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful news. I'm so happy to hear that Sam can now get on with fun summer activities. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! How wonderful for sweet Sam, looks like a beautiful adventure he is on, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeletePraise God indeed! So happy for this little boy who is free to frolic at last! :D
ReplyDeleteSo glad that Sam is a free man...and can enjoy being a boy without any restraints......
ReplyDeleteand your header is just lovely...loving that teacup Vee....
Love, Mona
Such good news to hear! Happy for Sam and his entire family! Now, onto the next adventure!

Poor Sam has a lot of time to make up for!
ReplyDeleteJudith
That is wonderful. And then I see him out on a kayak. lol Well, you can't slow some people down, and who would want to, right?
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord he is back to normal. He is so cute and full of life. I wish I was out kayaking. Have a great week Vee.
ReplyDeleteI would be tempted to wrap him I batten and quilted fabric for protection! Glad to hear that he is all better!
ReplyDeleteYay Sam! Be careful out there....
ReplyDeleteYes! Praise God! I am so glad to hear this! When my daughter Em broke her leg, long ago, they told us that the healed bone is often stronger than before the break. Let it be so with Sam, but keep him from breaking anything more!
ReplyDeleteahhh....and waaay too cute to spend any more time in a cast. :)
ReplyDeleteThis boy has places to go and people to see !! :)
Let's hope there's no more casts for him in the near or far away future. He's had his share. That picture is so cute.
ReplyDeleteAlleluia! That boys deserves some summer fun. He must be feeling so FREE!
ReplyDeletePraise the Great Healer and the earthly hands He used!
ReplyDeleteRock on with summer Sam!
Oh my, and that precious smile of his on that happy face? PRICELESS.
ReplyDeletePraise Be!
His face says it all. So glad he still has summer weather to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHip, hip, HOORAY! It will all soon be a distant memory. Onward with childhood adventures!
ReplyDeleteThat is just the best news this morning. Little boys need to be able to run and be free. I remember when my nephew went through very similar breaks and fixes gone wrong. So happy it is all behind him.
ReplyDeletePS...that header photo is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear that Sam is free at last of the cumbersome casts. He looks like he's enjoying his day out on the pretty blue water! Have fun, Sam, and stay safe!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that Sam is break free!! I see he is on the water. Maybe harder to break a bone there in the water!! : )
ReplyDeleteYay, Sam gets his cast off, I got my boot off. So happy to hear the good news. Love the beautiful new profile pic. ~ Abby
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day for Sam! Thanks be to God. I hope the rest of his summer is filled with carefree days and good weather!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord, indeed. So happy that Sam is finally unencumbered! Here's to the rest of August for him!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for Sam! I know he is thrilled to be 100% again, as are all of you! His little face says it all!
ReplyDeleteSo happy Sam is better! And glad he's out there enjoying himself! xo
ReplyDeleteYay for Sam!! He will probably take full advantage of every day left of summer vacation. This water is so blue it is unbelievable!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear Sam is going better! I had a visiter with a walking cast hard for an adult let alone a little one. The lake looks so pretty. Have a great week, Laura
ReplyDeleteSam is adorable and looks like he's having a blast! I'm so glad he's finally heeled!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. My spelling is pretty bad today. "Healed".
ReplyDeleteThat's gotta one happy happy boy. He's as cute as a button!
ReplyDeleteHoooray for him and huge praises to God! He was/is such a trooper. I know that he isn't the only one happy that he is back to full swing.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you have had that header for a while, I'm just noticing it tonight for some reason. VERY pretty to me!
ReplyDeleteAs one who is caring for an equally active 70 year old...almost anyway...I can feel your joy! Counting the days until Georgia is free to walk on her broken leg. You might hear the celebration all the way from here.
ReplyDeleteSo glad Sam didn't forget how to have fun! :-)
That's just wonderful Vee! Blessings to Sam. He's been through a lot this past year and Lord willing, he won't have anymore breaks.
ReplyDeleteRejoicing with Sam! May the rest of his summer be awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteI want to tell you that you are one of my most favorite people that blog. You are always so sweet and thoughtful!.
I just joined pinerest and seached for fun HGTV wallpaper and low and behold I saw my entryway. I was so shocked and surpised, I really don't know much about pinerest (where have I been) anyway I saw you had pinned me, thank you! I then went on to see where others had pinned my home from my blog. I cried from joy, I just didn't know that I had been pinned. Thank you Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
XO Elizabeth
Elizabeth, it's so funny the differences between us. When I first found that my home had been pinned, I was horrified. I soon became used to it, but the initial awareness was shocking!
DeleteYes! Praise God! What a blessing :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch good news, Vee! So happy for Sam!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for the big man! He looks all set for summer fun:)
ReplyDeleteHe looks so happy
