There are some fun parties in Blogdom. One that intrigues me is Wordless Wednesday. (I'd provide a link if I could figure out where.) It's just that I have so many words on Wednesday, but by Friday? Not. so. much. That's why I'm trying Kati's party — Friday is the perfect day!
~Summer Windowsill~
Kati has a link-up the first Friday of the month. (Would you believe that I thought this was the first Friday of the month? Sigh.)
A wonderful weekend to you...
I like it. I'm having fun with these photos. Until you start looking, you never know how many absolutely incredible photos there are on the web.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely photo, Vee. Reminds me so much of my grandmother; she loved flowers in her windowsill.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, Vee. I have some orchids on my windowsill -- just waiting for the kitties to knock them over! I have very low windows so they don't have far to fall. ;) So far, so good. Love your header, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! I love how uncluttered your sill looks! I seem to cram mine with things I like & it looks, well, crammed! You've inspired me to un-clutter my sill!
ReplyDeleteNice! And I like your new header a LOT!
ReplyDeleteHappiness is flowers on a window sill, I always have something there too. I like your 3 jars with red flowers, and the view through the water as well as the window.
ReplyDeleteI remember you saying you would use that photo for a new header and it is nice, as is your new profile photo.

I love this photo, Vee! So cheerful and summery...a perfect summer windowsill!
ReplyDeleteI decided to post a Photo Friday myself this week, as I too am running low on words. (I will not share that fact with Ron...he may hold me to it!)
That is a beautiful picture you have there! It feels so fresh and I like the idea of having a row of flowers in vases on the sill. Thank you for sharing about my Photo Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh and I love your header!
DeleteLovely shot and this is another meme I'll tuck away to see about joining later. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteYour new background is perfect with your new header. You work magic!
ReplyDeleteFlowers on your windowsill remind me of days when windows were open during the summer and we listened to birds. Breezes were a cherished gift. Shade trees were a must. Lovely memories, but would I be willing to give up the AC? Not willingly.
Love the flowers in the window sill ... so peaceful and summery!
ReplyDeleteYour new header looks great! Have a wonderful weekend!
Pretty photo of the flowers on the sill. And look at that clean window! My windows need washing. Badly.
ReplyDeleteI'd link to Wordless Wednesday, too, but I've never seen anyone with a link! Surely there is one out there somewhere.
Re: your comment on my post. When you have time, check JoAnn's comment after yours. :)
Vee..you always make me smile!
ReplyDeleteLove, Mona
Very pretty photo, Vee. I love the way the flowers are by the open window. Your new header is delightful and so inviting :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. Hugs!
I like putting flowers in bottles like that too and have daisies in them on my window sill. : )
ReplyDeleteSince Ken has been retired sometimes we don't even remember what DAY it is.
Hi Vee-I just found you through Cheryl @ TFD. You are my kinda gal and I am your newest follower. You're already on my sidebar so I don't miss any posts. You wrote about blogging being your connecting point-mine, too. Beautiful header and wonderful blog- I'll be back- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYou mean it's not the first Friday of the month? Good thing I read your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat bottles are those in your photo? They look so good with the little zinnias. Especially when the light is shining through, and with the pale grass and darker shrubs behind. Great shot!
The bottles were a find at the cottage and my sister brought them home to me. She called them canning jars, but they don't look like any canning jars I've ever seen. They are quite old with lots of bubbles and imperfections in the glass.
DeleteLove your photo, Vee. It is truly a summertime sill. I like the fact that the window can be open on a summer day and the view can be scene through the pretty bottles.
ReplyDeleteI like all your new photos... the header and the vases in the window. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteA perfect way to end a week (even if it's not the first Friday of the month....but I can relate as I missed my writing group meeting at the library yesterday, because we meet on the second Thursday (and I thought it was the first one).
I'm with you on wrong dates - I thought last night was Friday. Love the close ups!
DeleteLovely photo Vee!
ReplyDeleteI may have to join Kati on the first Friday of the month too. If I can remember!
Deanna
Oh, Vee...you do have a way of confusing me....:) 'course...I am easily confused. :))
ReplyDeleteI do wish I could remember her party on the first Fri of ea month...however, I never can. We do Bunco on the 2nd Wed of ea month...I thought LAST Wed was the 2nd one....whew....can you just see me, walking around in a confused state of mind....??
I always love looking out your window...it makes me feel like I am there visiting you! And look at YOU...in your profile pic! I love it!!! Don't you dare change it!!! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteI like your photo also. You do wonders with your windowsill photos. Very nice profile picture. I did not realize you were so close to Canada. Have a great week-end.
ReplyDeleteLooooove this shot, Vee!
ReplyDeleteI love this photo Vee. It's nice to try new link parties. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteI always wonder about the Wordless Wednesday posts. Am I supposed to comment on them or are they truly wordless? Oh the tangles of blogging! (like pinning, too)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty photo of the flowers in your windowsill.
Very pretty Vee! I've seen lots of Wordless Wednesday posts but most of them seem to involve children?
ReplyDeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteYour pretty red petals, sitting so quietly, poised and precious, are picture perfect!! There is something so absolutely dreamy about windowsills, isn't there? Perhaps it's there indoor/outdoor quality; the best of both worlds!!
