Manuela had a tassel giveaway at
The Pleasures of Homemaking and I won! It arrived yesterday! I hung it right above the open box on the lamp above the table. (Yes, I do love a prepositional phrase.) Maybe I'll find a better spot as soon as my painkiller fog lets up. Thank you so much, Manuela! And thanks, too, to the talented tassel creator herself — Heather of
Butterfly Genes.
Isn't it cute?! I just love it.

I totally adore it and it was won by the perfect person! ;-)
ReplyDeleteFeel better!
Dear Vee, I feel like I stumbled onto a treasure. I LOVE your daughter's painting of Damariscotta Lake, which is a place so deeply embedded in my heart.
ReplyDeleteI live in South Bristol usually from May through October and I love every minute of my stay there. Damariscotta is my HOME town. I love the people, the bookstore, the library, so many things. I feel more at peace in Maine than anywhere in the world.
I am just inside from working in the garden for a few hours, but I am going to clean up, make a pot of tea, and read through your back posts.
Hurrah! So happy I found you on Brenda's blog.
All joys to you,

P.S. LOVE the same books etc. Last year we got to go to Henry Beston and Elizabeth Coatsworth's garden and the little writing shack. We visited their graves and walked down to Damariscotta Lake. So fabulous. I love Beston's work, but Elizabeth is a star to me. She won one of the first Newbery medals and I think she should get more recognition.
ReplyDeleteOh well, back to life.
