Fairy Dust

I spent all afternoon and evening in my craft room and have not one thing to show for it. Well, I have some Lilliputian coasters I could show you, but you'd laugh yourself silly. Why oh why didn't I just make up a template before I cut out all the pieces for six of them? One day I shall learn.

Hold the horses! Wait a minute! I do have something to show. As you all know perfectly well I am a big time copycat. I know what I like if I can just see it. And on Pink Saturday I saw this idea at Karen's blog A Scrapbook of Inspiration . One of her blogging buddies had given it to her. Go look! Hers is really pretty. Mine is copycat okay.

The John 14:2 picture is a gift from Karen.

This was a brilliant thing. It really does make using glitter more fun and easy. But then you go and read all about it at Karen's. Have a great Tuesday!!

  3. The Glitter Station is cool, Hon. But. Where are instructions on glittering things?

You know I love glitter, which I call Faerie Dust, and drop into my snail mail. Thus driving recipients crazy with trying to vacumn it all up, over days and days and days. -grin- The Faerie Dust is actually supposed to stay around their house and remind them of me, when they spot some sparkling. Of course, like I said, some people are not happily reminded of me, by the pesky stuff. ,-)

Anyway, back to the issue at hand. Applying some sort of glue [what kind?] to paper, and thus making glitter stick just where you want... And in just the thickness you want... Well, I for one, need some expert instruction. Are there any places, which do this, please?

    ^_^

  4. Hi Vee,
I think we all "Copy"~"Borrow" ideas, that is what blogging is all about "sharing". I do all the above too! LOL.
Take care and enjoy your day,

Is that a bluebird I spy in the trees in your banner photo? We have lots of bluebirds around here. I love watching them...

  11. Mmmm... templates... what are those? ha ha...... I've done some of that myself.

Do any of us have completely original thoughts..... ideas that haven't sprung from somewhere else... things we've seen, heard, tasted, felt.......

To me, it's putting our spin on it... that's what makes it unique and 'ours'.

    happy creating....

  12. Good Morning Vee,
Just so enjoying catching up today on what you have been up to. First thing love your new blog template.
i like your fairy dust picture, I am so envious of people who can work with their hands and create. My Mother is so great at this too.
I enjoyed catching up on your previous posts, and like you have missed a lot of goings on in my bogging friends lives and I (not you ) lol have asked a lot of silly questions.
You were so right, when you don't blog regularly it become easy to not blog.
I also enjoyed your Sunday post, and your little Dutch girl so cute. thanks you for sharing a part of your daily life.

And thank you for your last visit and comment ,you are the sweetest! it was a complete surprise to me as well.
    Hugs,
    Sue

  13. Hi Vee,

I love your glitter station. You're not a copycat, you are adorable. I have been working on something special for a tutorial. It's so much more fun to share than it is to make things to sell.

    Have fun glittering.
    Karen
