Jelly Beans

Eventually, everything comes full circle to jelly beans, Peeps, and Cadbury eggs. You can not argue with that logic! We've had our share of Cadbury eggs and Peeps, but no jelly beans. Since they're not a favorite, I felt it would be safe to send my beloved out to fetch some for the empty jar you see above.

Can I just say that I love a man who'll run to the store? I've never known one of them until now. It's so nice to be married to one.

Doesn't that bag look a little heavy?

Well, no wonder. Seven bags of jelly beans!

The jar is definitely filled.

Now, you've seen these little contests all the time at banks, car dealerships, you name it. Let me know how many bags you think it took to fill the jar. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

  4. I would guess 4 bags. Don't invite me over. I'd have that jar empty in about an hour. I love jelly beans! Keep the chocolate, I like the junky sugary kind of candy, Sweet Tarts, jelly beans, pixie sticks, cotton candy and such. How sweet for hubby to make a run just for jellybeans.

  5. I think it took all 6 bags to fill your jar. I would have been sneaking them so the jar would never get full.

  6. I'll guess it took 2 1/2 bags to fill it. BTW I love the jar, but like you, I don't care for the jellies.

Your comment yesterday about the ducks towing the canoe made me LOL!! I may have to try that... just kidding:-)

I am taking the ducklings to my son's school this afternoon~ Pray for me, and the ducks.

  7. Well, I am going to say all the bags. Jelly Beans can fill in spaces pretty good. And I have guy like yours who would go and get for me but there would be some extra stuff in that bag he would have thought I needed. Enjoy your candy!

  10. I think 3 and 1/4 bags. So sweet of your sweetie to let us in on the fun of a guessing game. I love those gourmet jelly beans and now you have made me want some.

  11. Hmmmm, I think perhaps, 5 bags???? They look SO beautiful in that jar which I covet--like a rainbow in a jar! I like the hard candy shell on a jellybean, but I don't care for the "jelly" center. Just give me a bag of malted whopper eggs or Cadbury chocolate eggs and watch my husband I wrestle over them!lol

  12. I am going to guess 5 bags. They may not be a favorite, but they sure look nice in your jar. What a nice hubby you have to run out and get them.

  14. What a man! Let see, I'll guess 3 1/2 bags. Jelly beans are pretty but I don't like things that stick to my teeth. I'm always afraid I'm going to lose a filling (happend to me once with a caramel)!

  15. Mmmmm, since I can only have about one "steeeeeenkin'" Jelly Bean, I don't think I'll even join in. -pout-

Zee bread pics, zaaaa are up! ,-)

Plus some "eye candy." The only kind I can now indulge in. -pout- ,-)

Well, OK. So it's "eye candy" for my Granddaughters. But! It's "eye candy," none the less.

    No, not the bread!!! >,-)

  19. What a good man you have. I love how you captured him coming back with the jelly beans. I have a man like that too, he'll run to the store for me anytime, even for jelly beans.

If there were jelly beans in my house, especially if they were Jelly Belly jelly beans, I would eat them. I like the tasty flavors, but not some of the weird ones like popcorn or coconut.

How many bags did it take? All of them, I would say.

    Happy day,
    Melissa

  20. My guess is four bags. But now I have to go out and get some jelly beans of my own.

    I need them bad.

    NOW. ;)

    P.S. Love the jar!

  21. What a great idea for some pretty Easter candy. I don't eat Jelly Beans so they'd be perfect for me to have. lol

I haven't "talked" to you in forever and a day, but I think of you all the time. I probably shouldn't admit this, but I'm always thinking that "Vee would get a kick out of this" or "I wonder what Vee would say" about one thing or the other. Does that make me sound looney? lol Well, maybe I am. I can live with that. :)
