March is a month of considerable frustration — it is so near spring and yet across a great deal of the country the weather is still so violent and changeable that outdoor activity in our yards seems light years away. ~Thalassa Cruso
Yup, that's a picture taken just moments ago. Still plenty of the white stuff with no bare ground showing. Last night, I had the most wonderful dream...after a day of rain and fog (just as we really had), all the snow had melted overnight. The grass was green and there were purple and white flowers growing all over my neighbor's lawn. It was so beautiful that I rushed right out to gather a bouquet, though I did stop long enough to rap on the window to let John know that things were brightening.
Sometimes dreams are just so lovely...
see, that wasn't JUST a dream - but a hint of what's to come for you! Spring, pretty flowers, green grass and John waiting for you! What a exciting and beautiful prediction of things to come! Oh, BTW, your view is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteI can tell we are both anxious for spring! I posted today about pink tulips and how they remind me of spring, even though the temp is -5 here in Minnesota.

That sounds like a lovely dream. I imagine it might have been a tad disappointing to wake up and see the snow.
ReplyDeleteI like that dream! It'll come...just not soon enough, right?
ReplyDeleteI know!!! Spring trees and flowers are in bloom here and it is below freezing today. It was 80 here Monday. Crazy March weather....Hugs...m..
ReplyDeleteWeather is so unpredictable...I love the white stuff, since we don't get it here...Wouldn't be great to trade places for a little bit, you can enjoy our 70 degree weather and I can build a snowman! *smiles*
ReplyDeleteYee Haw . .winter dreams ..
ReplyDeleteOh boy . .yesterday I heard on the news from a Canadian Meteorologist that we could be at the beginning stages of 30 years of cold. He said that the last cold pattern was in the 30's to the 60's.
Hmm. .maybe you'll get the opposite. .
Well it's a very pretty picture out there Vee, even though it's not what you dreamed of. I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteSpring's coming, hang in there and cuddle up to your hubster and stay warm my friend.
;)
Twelve degrees here this morning. I've been dreamin' too!! But the tulips and daffodills are bravely sticking up their noses - so Spring is out there somewhere!
ReplyDeleteI remember the snowpile of last year! I bought some more seeds this morning, and can't wait to get things started. Maybe tomorrow. Indoors, that is. It is milder here now, but there are still hard frosts. Just no snow!
ReplyDeleteLOL! The Itlians say: "Marzo รจ il mese pazzo" March is the crazy month! It's the same everywhere.
ReplyDeleteHang in there!
We had some snow flurries today but I think this just might be the last of it. When I start to see tulips in the stores and we celebrate Saint Patrick's Day I know spring is right around the corner. Your dream was lovely and it will come true before you know it :>)
ReplyDeleteThe first of the week I was wearing flip flops and now it is so cold ...... I only went out to feed Paul and Harvey.....and add a heat lamp to their house ...oh and blankets.....

Vee,
ReplyDeleteI just had to smile thinking that maybe we all have been having similar dreams lately!! Though here in the south we don't have the snow that you all have. I think we all are so wanting spring to make up her mind. Thank you for visiting and your kind words.
Blessings,
Sue
Today was above freezing and the sun and dripping water were heavenly. Sadly it just gets cold and icy again, but don't you LOVE these long days....

What a beautiful dream...wish I could wake up to that too! We are still waiting for our snow to melt and it to warm up at our home!
