We're getting ready for our houseguest who plans to be teaching me a thing or two about pickling.
Since things are pretty much up in the air now with both real life and blogging life (oh the hoops I had to jump through this morning just to post...arghhhh), it is uncertain when I'll be back. Just consider me in a pickle. ;>
Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!
What a picture of bounty. We are so blessed. Hope you have a brine time.
ReplyDeleteSorry it was difficult to post in Blogger this AM. But awfully glad you did it!
ReplyDeleteThat photo is a work of art!!!!! Someone could paint a picture of it and from it.
So what's going on with the blogging troubles? Exactly? So far, I've had no issues, but like to know what's happening elsewhere. We are still in the "scary-effect-time-from-the-Full- Moon", ya' know!
Have fun with your houseguest - I am waiting for my friends from NZ to arrive for the evening too. Pacing....the wrong sort...is going on here.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
Enjoy your guest and have fun pickling!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Mom's visit and pickle lessons, Vee! Come back to blogging when you have more free time.

ReplyDeleteVee, Enjoy your visit and pickling session and weekend! Your picture today is lovely. I have to check yesterday's post too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and yours, and I'll look forward to your return.
Those are my dream glass canisters in the back ground. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteThe smell of vinegar is wrinkling my nose from afar. I do love that acrid odor that signifies PICKLES!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your houseguests!
I have never pickled anything. Enjoy your time with your friend.
ReplyDeleteYou have gotten me in the mood for fall on your beautiful page! I am going to go put out some more pumpkins! Please come by and visit again, I loved your comments.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Hope you are out of the pickle pretty soon. Enjoy your time making pickles. I love the smell of the dill and garlic as it blends...of course I don't know if you are making dill pickles.
ReplyDeleteSee you when you return.

ha ha! i was already smiling after your
ReplyDeletecomment at "single and sane," because
i HAD seen your earlier comment and
wondered, "surely she doesn't mean
she was a childbride of 16!
have fun pickling!
Well, this should be interesting, Vee. You will show us what you pickled, right?
ReplyDeleteGreat photo by the way!
Hugs, Vee. Your pictures are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave fun visiting and pickling!
ReplyDeleteBlogger ticks me off something fierce when I try to arrange and insert pictures. I don't know why the formatting is uncooperative. So I've been using Windows Live Writter now for several posts and it is SO much easier.
I so want to learn to pickle and can. My mom made plum jelly from the fruit on our tree and my mother-in-law made the most wonderful pickles-- My grandmother taught women in remote areas to can and preserve food in the 1930's as a home extension agent, BUT do you think anyone thought to teach me?!!! NO!!! lol I guess I'll have to teach myself! Can't wait to hear how your pickling turns out!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo collage--I love autumn's bounty AND fresh hot donuts!! Especially Krispie Kreme's maple donuts! Have a blesses weekend!

Such an abundance of harvest. Love the pumpkins too. We never have them like that here. Two Giveaway at Margie's Crafts, join in and let all your friends know. big hugs, Margie.
ReplyDeleteI think part of my problem with blogger is that I have used 96% of my alloted photo space. I don't know what will happen once I reach 100%. I loved your Sunday post, the post after this one. I really needed that today. Thank you so much. I hope you have a lovely time with your house guest.
ReplyDeleteHow much fun!!! I went to do pickles this year, feeling so productive, and haven't done them in decades. As I was counting my jars I realized what I had done wrong...I used lime instead of pickling salt...through laughter and humble pie, I poured all 10 quarts down the drain.
ReplyDeleteNext time I will get an experienced hand....enjoy!!!
