A Haven for Vee

It's Working; I'm Broken

Good heavens! The things that I am willing to put up with. I've had T*ime W*arner for over two years now and things have never been top notch. Come to find out, the service was not properly installed from the beginning. An inferior something or other was used and it caused the service to freeze repeatedly. At first, I thought it was my old computer, but no. This inferior part may have actually hastened its demise. Then the new computer had troubles, then the modem was replaced, but nothing completely solved the problem. Sometimes you get a good techie and sometimes you don't. Yesterday, we finally did. He said, "You pay good money for this service. Don't ever hesitate to ask for help when you need it." Apparently, I am a dolt. And, apparently, I  have had trouble with this all my life. Why do I always assume, no matter what it is, that it is my fault? Yes, I'm going to lie right down on the sofa and have you offer up suggestions. I can't afford real therapy. :D

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I haven't missed blogging so much so I'm going to keep right on doing what I was doing while the computer was out. I'll catch you when I start to miss the blogging experience again. Could be later this afternoon...could be next week...

Create yourself a delightful day!

  3. So glad you have finally gotten a tech who was very competent!!! We are so at the mercy of all those who provide services to us. Sometimes it helps to have this pointed out to us. -sigh-

I'm facing a continuing situation, of not feeling a service was done on me, properly. But being unable to actually DO much about it, because I know nothing about dentistry. And it's not only a Pain-In-The-Tooth, and a pain in the wallet, but also a *pain in the neck* to deal with this. -sigh-

We are at the mercy of those who provide us with services. :-(

  4. Me, too, Vee. I've been absent some myself, and realized that I didn't miss it so much either. The time away was spent with family and doing things that I needed to do - priorities, you know. So take a break if you want - I'm doing it, too!

  5. Oh, and as for service ---
You're paying good money for it - you deserve good service. If not, then speak up! The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

  8. My internet was down yesterday for a good part of the day and like you, I realized that I could survive quite well without blogging. And accomplish a lot.

Take all the time you need - come back refreshed.

  9. So glad you finally got a tech who was big help. I really hate having to repeatedly call someone to fix the same issue over and over. Enjoy your break, dear Vee, no matter how long or short it may be!

  10. I'm so glad you were able to have someone help who was actually helpful! ;) That can be more difficult sometimes than it should be!

I wanted to say thank you so much for stopping by Beautiful Nest and leaving a comment about the linen wreath. It's funny, you and another commenter mentioned using painter's cloths/canvas...it is like you both read my mind! :) Right after making the linen one, I was using a drop cloth for painting and realized it would work! Watch for this up soon! :)

I hope you have a wonderful blog break, and a beautiful day~

  11. You are right. A good techie is worth their weight in gold. I'd give a good one room and board to live here and keep everything humming along.

Have a wonderful bloggy break. BTW, I love the new header and the look of your blog. Beautiful.

  17. I'm so glad you are getting your computer up and running again because blog land just wouldn't be blog land without you. I used to take on everything as my fault too but I don't any more. I have learned through the years that we are all responsible for ourselves and our own actions. I hope you have a nice break :>)
