lantana on my windowsill
Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.

astilbe in my garden
Hello,
ReplyDeleteLovely thought and beautiful photos - so very true - there's wonder and beauty in Summer that does make us think all is right - what a wonder God has created for us to enjoy!
Blessings,
Kathy
Beautiful quote and so appropriate for now. Your pics are so lovely, reminds us of the beauty still left in this hot summer.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day! =)
Jen
Very beautiful :). I wish I had flowers like that in my garden or anywhere on the 6 acres. I'll tell you what, I will trade eggs, peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon, tomatoes & eggplant with you..how's that for a deal? (smiles)
ReplyDeleteLovely quote and photos....
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
I think I'll start shedding right now. Tension I mean, not my clothes.
ReplyDeleteLoving your close-ups. Loving the Bokah (spelling?) effect of the astilbe photo. You are gettin' so darn good!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh baby, do we even need a few of those days! Which can make one become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.
Drunk is the operative word, I fear. Because no one in their right mind, can long convince themselves that all's right with the world. Or with our "Three Stooges Admin."
But to keep from going stark raving crazy about the above, I have to keep summer's beauty in my sights. :-)

What a delightful quote! Thank you for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteI love your astilbe. Ours comes very early in the spring. I wish it was a little later.
Our garden is pathetic now. I can't believe what being on vacation for 10 days will do to a garden.
Great quote! Could I come pick a bouquet of astilbe from your garden? Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe're not shedding clothes or tensions here today...but re-planning a scheduled outdoor event once again. It's raining again.
I'll write that quote down in my journal today...lovely! ♥
ReplyDeleteLove that...now I could use that kind of day! Just shedding my tensions...and my clothes. LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Vee! I'd love a bouquet of your astilbe.
ReplyDeleteWe had a delicious break from humidity today! i was finally able to do yard work without blinding myself with sweat in my eyes...lol!
I love the pink astilbe. I have red, but I think the pink is beautiful - such a peaceful color. Lantana is always beautiful and they have so many shades of lantana these days.
ReplyDeleteIt's a cool, overcast 64 degrees here at noon. They're saying 97 degrees on Sunday. That will be one of the hottest days we've experienced in 3 years here. Going from 64 to 97 will be quite a shock to the system.
I'm having one of those days today. A beautiful sunny low humidity day! : )
ReplyDeleteYour astilbe is gorgeous Vee! I've never been able to have it survive the winter. Great quote! xo
ReplyDeleteLove that quote! Hope you are having a Jeweled Balm kind of day!
ReplyDeleteDeanna
Oh yes, so true!
ReplyDeleteToday I am again appreciating and enjoying your artistic flare. I love the lily header!
Love the quote and photos.
ReplyDeleteJeweled balm...sounds like a lip gloss...:)))
Your flowers are beautiful, and such a lovely quote for me to think about.....it's hard to have one of those days here today.....super high humidity,103 degrees, and no rain. Yet.
ReplyDeleteI'll think of your lovely area of the country.
Where-everdid you find a quote to match your flower. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking that little vase too!
What a beautiful quote - I've never heard it before.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on microwaving the birds nest - easy peasy!
Leann
Now Vee, I'm all for people shedding tension, but clothes, that's another thing altogether!
