Sam Gets His Summer Back

~Sam Kayaking~taken by my daughter with her iPhone~

This grand is one tenacious boy. He has had a broken bone of one kind or another since March of 2012. As of last Wednesday, he is a free man — no more casts, no more pins and rod, no more fixes gone horribly wrong. His family is so happy and Sam is thrilled to have his August back. As you can see, he's already on an adventure.

All I can say is Praise God and thank you to all who have prayed for him.

  2. Happy boy! My friend's son just got his cast off and he immediately went to the pool. Summer is a hard time to have a cast!

  14. Yes! Praise God! I am so glad to hear this! When my daughter Em broke her leg, long ago, they told us that the healed bone is often stronger than before the break. Let it be so with Sam, but keep him from breaking anything more!

  22. That is just the best news this morning. Little boys need to be able to run and be free. I remember when my nephew went through very similar breaks and fixes gone wrong. So happy it is all behind him.

  38. As one who is caring for an equally active 70 year old...almost anyway...I can feel your joy! Counting the days until Georgia is free to walk on her broken leg. You might hear the celebration all the way from here.

So glad Sam didn't forget how to have fun! :-)

  41. Hi Vee,

I want to tell you that you are one of my most favorite people that blog. You are always so sweet and thoughtful!.
I just joined pinerest and seached for fun HGTV wallpaper and low and behold I saw my entryway. I was so shocked and surpised, I really don't know much about pinerest (where have I been) anyway I saw you had pinned me, thank you! I then went on to see where others had pinned my home from my blog. I cried from joy, I just didn't know that I had been pinned. Thank you Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
    XO Elizabeth

    1. Elizabeth, it's so funny the differences between us. When I first found that my home had been pinned, I was horrified. I soon became used to it, but the initial awareness was shocking!
