Azalea Mosaics
Brrrr, it's cold up here! I was out and about all yesterday afternoon and nearly froze to death. Apparently, all the stores have shut off the heat and it was miserable, even in the restaurant.
Still, the azaleas are blooming and it's one of my favorite times of year. Couldn't help but grab the camera. I never have enough time to devote to the process so am cheating by doing a mosaic...more presence don'tcha know. Interesting to see the hue differences between indoor and outdoor photos.
Please don't forget the beach bag giveaway. If you haven't already, check Friday's post (yesterday) for the info. I want more bloggers! Come on now, don't be shy. (Oh and you'll find links to both Keepsakes Etc and Simply–Bags on my sidebar under Some of My Favorite Places.)
May you have a wonderful, restful, pleasant weekend and think warm weather...

Your azalea are pretty pink, my Mother-in-law's are red. Both are beautiful. I have puny little red ones. Guess I'll have to have Mikey treat the soil with something they like.

Vee,
ReplyDeleteWe don't have azaleas blooming yet, yours are gorgeous.
It's chilly, but I think it's colder by you, I know my mom is in Vermont and it's still brisk there.
Have a beautiful weekend. Karen
What cheerful blooms! That color never fails to make me smile!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhh, loving the inside photos. Just my preference, as to the play of colors. Perhaps they look "warmer," inside. :-)
ReplyDeleteYup, it stays cooooool up here in the great N.E.! But at least we don't have rogue snow fall at night, like Dear Diane did. Eeeeek!
Gentle hugs....
your azaleas are lovely! mine peeked
ReplyDeletelast weekend. peonies about to burst
open. :)
i wanted to thank you in advance for
your sunday reflections. will never
forget the precious photo of scampering
lambs and old hymn, "God leads HIs
dear children along."
Those azaleas are really pretty. Too bad they didn't last longer.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like sunlight for pictures!
My azaleas have yet to pop open -- I love the color explosion when they do!
ReplyDeleteYour give away is on my blog sidebar :-)
Your azaleas are so pretty. I love that shade. Hope it warms up for you.
ReplyDeleteBEEEEautiful!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I WISH they would last longer, don't you Vee? They're gone so quickly. I know they have that new variety of azaleas now that are supposed to keep blooming, and they do, but not like that first explosion of color in the spring! Enjoyed your mosaics, cuz our azaleas are gone!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your azaleas....I know I keep saying this, but they won't grow here!! Living vicariously through you...

How wonderful visits with you at your blog are. . .so peaceful and always so beautiful. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAren't they wonderful? I have had one to completely bloom out and then right now another one is in full bloom. Glad they choose to stagger their blooms so I could enjoy longer!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Christi
Hi Vee, for some reason I couldn't leave a comment on Mosaic Monday. Wow, I love that blue with the red, that mosaic really made me stop when I arrived here. I love it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mosaic Monday,
Karen
P.S. Vee, thank you for your well wishes. You are the neatest person!!
Good morning Vee, Your mosaics are both beautiful! I love this time of year too when all of the flowers start to bloom. Our liliacs are just begining to open. I can't wait to bring some inside. I hope you have a lovely day and it warms up a little in your area.
