Bookends

Phew! We've safely navigated past the latest brouhaha. Thanks to everyone who left a comment on yesterday's post. As per usual, the comments are the best thing about that post. So let's move on to lighter things for a bit. ;>

By using my current header, I've given you a sneak preview of my post for today.

Remember way back *here* when I said that I'd let you know if my cat Fioré ever got along with my grandmother's cat Sarah? Course you don't, but way back then, things weren't going so well.

There's still a daily bug tussle after all this time, but yesterday found them both in the bay window like bookends. I felt it was memorable enough for a post. Now if they ever take a nap together, I'll be sure to document it as well.

So, just for the record, it's taken them eight months and seventeen days to be in the same place at the same time without having a fight. Yay for Fioré and Sarah!

And a fun day to you!

I'm having all sorts of "troubles" with commenting here this morning. Eeeeek!

  5. Good for those furbabies! They look adorable. Glad there is peace among them at long last.

It is going to be near 90 degrees here today. I might melt!

Hope you have more tolerable temps.

  6. Funny, about two days ago, I was wondering about "your" cats. The cats here were having a spat. (They're sisters and have been raised together.) And, I still have to introduce these three to mine at home... It is not going to be pretty.

  7. I'm smiling...at the thought of you counting days! Things look quite peaceful over there. I think they have agreed to some sort of a compromise.

  8. They looks so cute end to end like that on the windowsill. It's about time they called a truce!

I made the mistake of leaving my cat with my daughter one vacation. She has two cats. Never again! Her apartment looked like WW3 when she got home from work. My poor cat spent most of the time under her couch, and that wasn't easy as he's a big guy..lol

  9. Some girls are just more difficult to get to know than others...

    Same goes for girl kitties.

  10. After re-visiting your previous post, I agree that this moment is definitely worthy of a post :-)
I know one thing for sure, if I were a cat I would want to curl up in that cozy window of yours.

  14. Oh they look so cute. That is a great picture for a header. I was reading your previous post and I had to eliminate anonymous comments some time ago. No need for that.

  15. smiles here Vee. . .it is nice to know that all living things can get along in bloggy land whether it be by example of cats or by example of the kind commenters you had yesterday. I did smile at a few of them. Aunt Amelia has a way with words. . .smile.

  16. Well, I think my pups took a cue from your kitties. I looked over and saw the two males sleeping side by side who usually just growl at each other in passing like two grumpy old men. :)

  18. I love my felines! One is mellow and the other high strung. They get along fine, but add a new rescue Jack Russell terrier to the bunch and look out! Things have been pretty wild around here--What was I thinking? Glad to hear the girls are getting used to each other! V.

  19. That is cute, Vee! You captured a rare moment. They sound a lot like my kids and only get along when they think you aren't looking. hehe
