I'm describing my blog again using the thingy that Blogger provides for the top of our blogs these days. I tried those tabs, but didn't like them once I'd done them. Sidebars are good enough for me. I'd love to have someone finesse this place. I'm feeling about my blog the way I'm feeling about my home — I don't have proper time for it.
These are the things on my mind today and there's not a lick of coherence to any of it: forsythia, lasagna sauce, and embroidery.
It's a jungle out there!
Forsythia branch against the fence
The secret of the sauce
After an hour of bubbling away...hmmm
This is an illustration that I want to embroider
Okay, that about does it...catch you later...create a great day!
I like all of the thoughts you shared today.
ReplyDeleteButter in the sauce? Never heard that. Hmmmm....I've never met anything with butter that I didn't like...unless it was fish or seafood. Then even butter couldn't save it. lol
Now about your blog....hold on...maybe that discontent will go away. If it doesn't you can always make changes later.
I happen to love your blog just the way it is.
Becky
I like your blog just like it is. I can't wait to see the piece after you finish the sewing.

All of those things feed the senses and are works of art!
ReplyDeleteBlogging is about sharing and communicating. It's as simple - and as complicated - as that. LOL!
have a marvelous beautiful day Vee!
ReplyDeleteI've always marveled at those that have a structured blog every day. It takes time, planning, and patience. So, go do what you want to do. We'll wait. Have a fun a day.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is great- simple clean lines and easy to navigate. I may change my mind next week, but I was getting tired of all my busy-ness on mine. Only thing I haven't figured out is how to center a photo on the header. Any tips on that? It looks centered on my laptop at home, then I get to work and it's off to one side. hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteAunt Amelia certainly keeps us on our toes, doesn't she? ^_^ haha
No Dear Vickie, 'Aunt Amelia' doesn't keep us on our toes. 'She' is a Busy Body, pure and simple.
ReplyDeleteAnd 'she' removed her comment here.
When 'she' is out raking in the yard, and realizes 'she' has to come in and remove a comment, 'she' has gone too far.
'She' apologizes...
Not sure what you're apologizing for, Aunt Amelia. I liked your comment. Nothing like a few good salient points.
ReplyDeleteI think you have all the bases covered Vee .. a bit of spring flowers ..a yummy sauce and a project to keep your hands busy.
ReplyDeleteButter in the sauce eh? Well .. I always say .. .I love butter.
Oh, I see a theme here! It's all about yellow today. Forsythia...butter...and an illustration embroidered in yellow. Can you tell I just came from Lovella's blog? Have a fantastic day, Vee!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the forsythia branches. I will definitely be adding butter to my sauces!! I like your blog just as it is... I think it is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteI never heard of butter in sauce either. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteI like the picture that you are going to embroider. It should be pretty.
Vee, thanks for your comment. It was so nice! :-)
I need a blog makeover but never seem to have the time to devote to it either. It was 92 degrees yesterday --- I sat outside and marveled at the weather! I just could not let a day like that go by being inside on a computer.
ReplyDeleteToday I am making home made ravioli as I have company tonight. It's time consuming but boy, oh boy, do they taste so good!
Enjoy your day Vee!
OK, so I am starving for lasagna now and Audley doesn't like lasagna. Don't you just love all of the early blooms of spring?! Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope you embroider that piece..... it will be amazing!
Interesting and pleasant things are on your mind today. The forsythia looks lovely and the sauce ~ delish! Butter is new to me in lasagna sauce, but I have no doubt it tastes yummy. I love the little picture you are planning to embroider. It will be adorable and you will share the finshed product, won't you?
ReplyDeleteI haven't tred putting tabs on my blog. Im still trying to find where they hid spellcheck when they updated Blogger awhile ago.
That lasagna sauce looks so good, I can almost smell it. Vee, I just want to say I adore you!!! You always make me smile, and chuckle too. I love the comment you left, and this post. You are wondeful.
ReplyDeleteI bought my little topic bar from Memories By Design. She wrote some code and put it in a gadget.

My Grandmother put butter in everything, and she lived to be 89, a smiling 89 because she didn't deprive herself of butter!
Karen
You want to embroider the picture. Vee, I want to live there!!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Can you believe I bought 2 embroidery hoops, some DMC floss and needles yesterday? Now I need to find out how to transfer patterns...and onto what? heehee! I have wanted to embroidery for a long time. Wish you were next door! ♥
ReplyDeleteHi sweetie!!! Omygoodness Vee! The butter in the sauce sounds divine! My husband makes his own and cooks a couple slices of bacon, pulls out the crispy bacon and softens the chopped onions in then adds the browned meat and sauces...he likes the smokey flavor! I love you Vee, you're wonderful and so's your blog ~ hugs and love, Dawn
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm - a perfect blog post!!!!!
ReplyDeleteForsythia --- yes!
Lasagna sauce --- your recipe looks delish!
And the embroidery picture --- INSPIRING! I love it!!!!
Thank you for sharing from your heart!

Butter in the sauce! Well, knock me over with a feather! i'm trying it, knowing that butter makes EVERYTHING better!
ReplyDeleteAs for "eclectic," well, that's my middle name! C
I think your blog is just great the way it is. I just changed my look for the first time in months. I had to change it twice in the last 24 hours because I hated the first change. I'd like to investigate pages, but too little time for that - I'm thinking it's just more blog maintenance I won't get around to!
