4th of July Mosaics

Allow me to briefly interrupt the Western Maine road trip to introduce the Eastern Maine road trip taken the 4th of July. The mosaics speak for themselves and, if you look closely, you may find a surprise. All pictures for these mosaics were taken at *Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park.*

'Twas a busy, fun, lovely, exhausting day. A lovely Tuesday to you...

  1. What beautiful scenery - you've created gorgeous mosaics. I do believe that I've found the "surprise", but will come back and read later to ensure that I'm right before I commit!

  2. Wow~ So very gorgeous.

I am exhausted after a late night and a very early morning. I'll stop back later when my brain is actually functional.

  3. Lovely photos, Vee.

Sorry, I don't see a surprise...I must be missing something. Well, it wouldn't be the first time!

Your photos reinforce my desire to visit Maine - when we go to Vermont this year!

  6. It looks like you found the perfect spot to celebrate July 4th with your family!

I see you had mosquito protection along. Were they a problem? They have come out in full force over here these past few days (late this year...like everything else)!

Surprise? Hmmm. I'll be back after the commercial break. ☺

    Great photos!

  9. I was right - the picture of you and John was the surprise!! And a wonderful surprise it was! I found it right away, but since I haven't met the two of you in person, I thought I'd better not say until I knew it was the two of you. I must say, you do look like the sweetest couple.

And I'd say the surprise is the photo of you with John - knowing that you don't often put up photos of yourself. You look happy together.

  18. Vee, your mosaic pictures are wonderful. I'd like to visit that state park! Yes, the Marines who were stationed near you are now here for a furlough before reporting to Okinawa, Japan. I will make the most of it and may be absent from the blogosphere for awhile. Enjoy your summer at these beautiful places!
