  1. Those are some very cold refreshing pictures! What a treat to look forward to on a muggy, hot summer's day.

  3. Looks like the inside of our fridge. The only things is I don't like either one. I buy strawberries and bananas for myself. They mix well with yogurt for breakfast.

    Stay cool!

  4. I'm coming to your house for lunch! It's been 100 degrees (at least) each day this week and those melons sure look refreshing... go ahead and take them out of the fridge I'll just plop down inside to eat them :)

  5. Go to Julie's blog and make that Summer Watermelon Pie. It's on my list of things to do if I can just find other people to help me eat it. Looks scrumptious.

  6. -chuckle- I don't care that much, for it. 'Uncle A.' does though. That figures though, doesn't it? With that Mark Twain quote...

  7. We love melon here at our house. We actually eat almost 2 large watermelons a day in the summer.
It's the only fruit that "The Massimo" will eat. :P

  8. Ok, I'm not sure about the angels thing, but I love the stuff! :D
You have such a way of cutting it up and storing it that makes it look even better. I think I need to trade my plastic for some glass!

  9. Oh yum, melon (any kind) is one of my favorite foods, and I'm not an angel.
    So healthy and delicious.
    Stay cool!

  10. Since hot weather seems to make me puffy with retained water, I really appreciate that watermelon has a diuretic effect. I just have to avoid eat a lot just before bedtime or I will be up going potty all night long.

  11. Refreshing...is right! And so easy to break into when the melon is all sliced up and ready to serve.

Stay cool. (No problem doing that over here!)

  12. Love this mosaic! I think you've just added melons to my grocery list.

Don't forget to offer a little square of watermelon to Molly. It's safe for dogs and she might find it a wonderful summer treat, too.

I see cantaloupe in your fridge and I would rather share that! :)

  16. I was watching a cubing the watermelon demonstration the other day. It looks like your cubes are pretty perfect and perfect to have a cold cube throughout the hot sweltering day.
We still have rain here. We won't complain though with the drought in Africa.

  20. Perfect post, probably the most refreshing mosaic ever!

When I went outside today, I almost thought I was in Hong Kong. Only in Hong Kong it is this hot the entire summer and they have these gigantic helicopter dragaonflys on the hotest days.

Your mosaci looks so good today.

  21. I am not a big watermelon fan. I do love cantalope and honeydew melon. But it is so good in the summer.

  24. Oh I SO agree! Love, Love, Love watermelon!

Like my Nanny always said ---

"If the Good Lord made something that tasted any better, then He kept it for Himself!"

Only she said it about bananas...

  25. Your fridge looks much the same as mine. Lots of watermelon and assorted fresh fruit. Love this time of year. I like how you set a plate on top of the glass bowl. Great idea for stacking things up. I'll have to remember that one.

  29. You will never believe what jumped into my mind when I saw the watermellon.

Have you ever spiked a watermellon? Cut a hole in the top and pour vodka into it. Let it settle for awhile.

Then cut and enjoy. I haven't done that for about 50 years. Wonder where that came from???
