Tea Cup Party~Mosaic Monday

My goal today was to tidy up the tea cups so that I could actually have a cup of tea without pawing through everything to find the matching saucer. Then I had a little brainstrom wondering if I could find tea cups that matched flower photos I've taken this summer. My only success was with the astilbe and the rose. Other than that, it is hodge-podge all over the place.

It's back to sorting and matching and readjusting storage space for me...

Linking to Mary at Little Red House. Wonder if Mary's still in Bunny's Garden?

  1. What lovely photos of those lovely cups. Are there any Maine blueberry scones in the forecast? xo,

  2. You have some very beautiful teacups. I bought an incredibly thin cup sans saucer when I was on vacation. The shop was hot and crowded, and I never could find the saucer...but only paid change for the cup! I love it in spite of it's self!

There is something soothing about tea cups and saucers!...

  4. Vee,
What lovelies! My favorite is the pale yellow with the gold design on it, and then the pale white/pink ones behind it, also with gold design.
    Which one to use???

  18. So pretty...is the one in the back an Ivy design or shamrocks? We have one with Shamrocks on it but they are randomly placed around the cup....

    Very nice collection!

  19. I love all of your tea cups. They are so pretty. I also love mixing and matching china (especially when I mosaic), so I would count it as a blessing if I couldn't match the saucer to the cup!

  21. What a great collection you have. There's nothing better than a cup of tea from a china tea cup. Loved your mosaic. That was a nice idea to match the flowers in your garden with the flowers on the teacups.

  24. You are just so clever...taking a beautiful collection of cups and saucers and turning them into a unique and most attractive mosaic. I would be curious to know if you used a program like Picnik to set it up. However you did it, it is absolutely stunning. A real keeper. Genie

  25. That's a beautiful collection of teacups! You can use a different one every day of the week and then some. The one in the back with the roses reminds me of some my grandmother had. I was often served a cup of tea when visiting her. Your mosaic of teacups was a great idea.

  30. Vee, These cup and saucer sets are beautiful! When I had my store (many years ago), the vintage teacups were one of my best sellers. I would always ask my customers how they displayed them. It tickled me that they seemed to feel that they had found a treasure when they would see them on the rack on the wall. Yours are treasure worthy and made me smile.

  31. Vee,
Your teacups are beautiful, and I love your mosaic. So many beautiful teacups. I wonder what it is about this vessel that mesmerizes us so. I just love to look at them. I have a collection that sit on the shelves of a curio shelving in my kitchen.

    Happy Monday.

  32. Good Morning Friend

Just back from vacation and I should be getting ready for work - but wanted to pop by and see what you've been up to:)

Love the new look and your header photo. The tea cups are beautiful - and look at you always thinking - trying to match them up with flower photos!

That afghan looks comfy cozy and ready for fall - mmm.

Well - I really should dash and try to do something with this hair of mine:)

    Enjoy your week!

  35. Your teacups are so pretty! I love to mix and match patterns too - I think that would work well for your cups and saucers since they all coordinate so beautifully together. Have fun playing with them!

  36. I have some lovely cups and matching saucers from when I collected them. I also inherited a beautiful tea pot from my grandmother (through my Aunt) - in china and in the style of the cups and saucers but not a matching pattern. The tea pot matches and sugar and creamer my grandmother gave me long ago. And they do match the pattern exactly of the tea pot.

Right now they are all packed away. Sadly I have no where to display them.

  45. Hi Vee, it's me again. You are the first person I thought of when I bought that lily - American Revolution. I thought you'd get a kick out of the name. No, it's not red, but a dark burgundy/purple shade. I'll post a pic of it soon. Hugs, Pamela

  46. What a pretty collection of teacups. That yellow one on the left looks very familiar. I think my mother-in-law had one, and when she divided her teacups a few years ago, it was given to my daughter. I'll have to check next time I see her.
