A Haven for Vee

Why? I'd Really Like to Know

There are enough things that are broken that Blogger could fix without fixing the dashboards, which, as far as I know, were not broken. I like my old dashboard soooooooo much better. Do we never have any choices here? It's as if waking one morning to discover a new kitchen has been installed...an inferior one.

Pardon my rant.

  2. Oh no, I haven't looked at Blogger recently. I'm glad to know ahead of time so i won't be surprised....I'm sure I'll be ranting.
When they change ...we have to relearn...grrr

  3. And it ticked me off to get no warning! The dashboard link doesn't work and the controls are all redesigned. Ugh. And I have new formatting problems to deal with in the editor. I have investigated and found out that it rolled out automatically to anybody with blogger in draft settings. Soon, everyone will have this new monster...

  5. I haven't checked my dashboard lately, so I can't comment on that. I've still had problems with commenting from time to time. Wonder what more we can look forward to?

  7. I HATE new dashboard and made a point right away to leave negative feedback. You would think that, of all times, now would not be the time to try this.

  9. Vee,
I totally agree with you. When I first signed on and the new blogger draft appeared, I thought my blog was gone. The old one was much better. Somedays I think about switching to Typepad. Except I use so many photos, it would probably cost me a fortune.

If it's not broke, don't fix it! That's the problem with techies. They are forever speculating what a user might need, instead of asking. I used to work with techies in my other life Before Children.

    Missing my old blogger draft.

  12. I had a time getting used to the new dashboard, but once we get used to it, it will be fine I think.
I don't know why they have to fix things that aren't broke though. Just because they can change it doesn't mean that it makes it better or worse, just different.

  13. I've had trouble leaving comments on some formats and I'm afraid to change anything. The last time I tried it deleted my entire blog!

  15. WHAAAAT ? New dashboard?? Guess I better go check it out.

Only thing I can think of as to why we never have a choice ....free....don't 'cha think? If we were having to pay, we'd have more say so in the matter....NOT.

If comments disappear, please don't fret. A simple "hi" will do. The platform surely needs some maintenance.
