~Gifts from Little Birdie Blessings~
Abby sent me these sweet cards created using digital art. They are so pretty. I am now in the market for a frame to display them in my bedroom. Sweet promise from the Word of God. Abby offers many vintage images with Christian themes. If you haven't checked out her blog, you can find her and them at Little Birdie Blessings. Thank you so much, Abby!

Off to make those cookies... **No Bake with chunky peanut butter**(Nadine's recipe is just like mine only I substituted chunky peanut butter.)
Yum! Honestly I haven't accomplished much either. The mister is in Denver all week and I get to play General, taxi driver, chef, chief dog walker, and cheerleader this week. So today, I watched The Muppet Movie while sipping a diet coke and feasting on leftover birthday cake from a party over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the cards. Framing them would be lovely.
That artwork looks great..but I'm coming for those chunky peanut butter cookies:)
ReplyDeleteThe verse on the left is the one that taught me to rest in the Lord at night, when Tim was away. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThey will look great framed and in your room!
I have been busy, took Tim and I took Lindsay to work, then we made some returns at Target with Emily, dropped her off at S&S, we went to breakfast, looked at several stores for shoes for Tim - he needs to wear a wide shoe and they are hard to find...found some at Sketchers.
Then we went by the bank, came home, he fix a leaking tire on my van, I did school with the kids, made him lunch, and got his food ready for him to take tonight for dinner at work. I am visiting with my Mom and soon I will leave to go pick up Lindsay from the store. I am making myself tired!
I sleep great at night these days!

Well, I've talked on the phone to my daughter for over an hour...wrote my niece an email letter...folded a load of clothes...been on here way too long...and that's about it! It is beautiful here but chilly & I am using that as an excuse to stay indoors!
ReplyDeleteMain thing around the house I did today was the wash sheets, hang them out to dry and remake the bed. Went to my knitting group and library.
ReplyDeleteBaking cookies most certainly count!!!
I am with you- this return to cold has got me a little "off," to. I just baked a pizza and burnt it.
ReplyDeleteI don't burn food, I just don't.
Those prints are awesome she sent, what a sweet thing!
I do have to ask you to share your no bake peanut butter cookies? Maybe you can take pics and do up a post for the link party Foodie Friday or something!??
Thanks! Have a great day!
I'm blameing the cold weather on my mood too. It feels like I should be hibernating again. I did go to Bible study this afternoon but kept dozing off during the video. That's nothing unusual for me though. LOL I have a pile of hubby's summer shirts to be ironed but there's no hurry as it's too cold to wear them now. ;) The pictures you received are sweet and would be lovely framed. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteToday was one of those days where I could not get up and out of the bed. Other than a dental appointment, I stopped to pick up something for late lunch/early dinner. I am ready for a nap! Ugh. xo
ReplyDeleteDoes sitting at the computer count?
ReplyDeleteOnce I got everyone off for the day, I watched a movie on TV (seems to becoming a habit). Then I made the bed & showered. Then I had an early lunch, put in a load of towels. Then I went to the school to turn in papers proving a physical was actually done back in August. Then I went to the next town up and bought myself a Latte', stopped at Goodwill, went to the pharmacy to get hubby's med. only to find out they put it back on shelf and had to refill and it would take at least 15 mins. So I went out to the car and drove thru the drive thru so I could enjoy the rest of my Latte'. Then home and another load of laundry and now cleaning kitchen and watching another movie and looking at blogs! I hope you really wanted to know....cuz that's what I did!
ReplyDeleteOh No! The snow materialized, I take. -sigh- -moan- -pout- I think boiling eggs, is a marvelous accomplishment, for such a day!!! "Auntie sezzzzzz!" :-)
ReplyDeleteHaven't done much here today, myself. Even though the sun is shining. It's windy and quite cool out though.
My *excuse* for a take-it-easy-day today though is, a LOT of Birthday Champagne, last night. -gigggles-
And a lobster each, with dipping butter, even!!! Eeeek! I never dip in BUTTER. -giggles-

You need these kind of days. You still are doing the most important thing ... the reason we were created.
ReplyDeleteSince I just returned home from being out with my sister-in-law all day thrifting and eating lunch, I had to think whether I've accomplished anything important. Hmmm... we did order the Easter ham between shops and I did make my bed and load the dishwasher, but I think best of all was the fun we had. That should count for something I think :).
ReplyDeleteI haven't had those no bake cookies in ages, but they sure do sound good.
A very lovely gift you have received. I love the name of her blog and will have to stop by for a visit.
What beautiful cards. They are perfect for framing.
ReplyDeleteI spent the morning using the weedeater and cleaning up one of the flower beds. I then proceeded to curl up on the couch and read. After lunch I felt quilty and have painted to very tiny houses and one tree on a hilltop of my new painting. I'm working very slowly and don't seem to be the least concerned. My doctor told me it was my medication causing the lack of energy.
Sometimes accomplishments are over rated! Boiled eggs and cookies sound kind of good to me right now LOL!
ReplyDeleteI went to Bible Study and to Fred Meyer (a dept/grocery store we have here in the Northwest) That's all I plan to accomplish today...
Have a great evening...
I was determined to clean my house better than usual today and I accomplished that. In the process, I broke my mop handle, so it's off to Wal-Mart for another one, plus I'm going to try your suggestion, Barkeepers Friend, for my glass problem. Thanks very much!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The scripture on the left has always been one of my favorites. In the past, when a friend has shared sleep problems with me, I type it out in a nice font, put it in a little frame, and give it as a reminder of our shared love of God.
ReplyDeleteNo bake cookies - sounds right up my alley. I did get a lot done today! lol sandie
ReplyDeleteI'd love soem home baked cookies!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and her finace left yesterday evening so today I did loads of laundry and tried to organize their shower gifts. We will have a road trip ahead in the future to bring them all to her. It was a wonderful event and I'm all tired out from it..lol
Some days are just meant for doing nothing...enjoy it!!!...and never feel guilty about it.... :)

I ate peanut butter out of the jar today...it's one of my favorite snacks and it's healthy! lol I bought groceries today and sewed tonight! I made a baby chick! He turned out pretty cute! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I put in 10 hours of work today. And I folded up sheets and towels that I washed this weekend. (Didn't get them done earlier.) And got a blog post done! I think I deserve a chunky peanut butter cookie...
ReplyDeleteWell, I am visiting far too late to spur anyone to action! School this morning. Haircut, library pick up, and coffee this afternoon. Back home, I worked on my latest blog post (I am convinced that I am the world's s-l-o-w-e-s-t blogger!) and then cooked dinner. We barely finished eating before Jeopardy came on...so we ran into the living room to watch, and then I returned to the kitchen clean-up while everyone else watched and episode of Poirot. Finished my blog post and published it. Read aloud a chapter of Little Women and here I am. A day in the life...
ReplyDelete(Too much detail? Maybe that's why I'm the world's slowest blogger.)
My family loves no bake cookies. In my husband's family, they were called "boiled cookies." I am not sure whether I have ever made them myself. Ron made them, and then Kristin, and now Kati. The recipe was used so much that you could no longer read the print on it, and someone made a new copy a few years ago. (But we kept the old, unreadable copy for posterity's sake.) :D
Well today is almost over but I was able to finish the lap quilt i made for a cousin and get it mailed away the same day. then i headed to a little quilt shop and bought more quilting fabric....for another lap quilt for someone else...when it's needed. I always like to have a project on the go. More snow and ice melted today so that's always good. I did a quick post and had a nice comment from you - thanks Vee!
ReplyDeleteNo bake...my favorite kind of cookie! They sound yummy, I love peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteAs for what I did today, I didn't get anything much accomplished at home because I went shopping in the afternoon and browsing about 35 miles from home. I went to Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, WalMart, Barnes & Noble, Macys, the health food store, and a flea market. Needless to say, I'm pooped! My daughter came by after work and we went to dinner while she got her oil changed and then we stopped back by Macys before heading home. I'm now trying to catch up on blogging, but fear it will have to wait until tomorrow! (Bet you're pooped after reading all that! Ha!)
Yep, the pretty cards would be perfect framed.
ReplyDeleteWe had the most lovely day yesterday and Mr. Sweet worked on THE shelf...I worked on the mirror frames for the shelf.
Busy day ahead.....NO BAKE Peanut Butter cookies? How can you mention THAT and not give us a recipe, woman......?
The cookies must be gone by now! That's what happens when one checks in a day late.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture and scripture!
ReplyDeletewho wouldn't want to wake up to
these lovelies every morning?
Vee, I have to confess I read this post early afternoon yesterday, but was so appalled (and convicted!) about how little I had gotten done that I had to leave without commenting and go get some work in :) This is a good example of how blogging can spur us on. Sometimes I need a good kick in the pants.
ReplyDeleteIf the cookies are the same as what I'm thinking of, we always called them Oatmeal Candy. My mom made them a lot and my sister and I do, too. Good when you need a chocolate fix and you want something quick.
I really doubt that when you wrote this post the ONLY thing you had accomplished was to boil eggs. We're too hard on ourselves as women, but you did give me a good chuckle this morning which I needed. I'm so glad you like the cards, thanks for sharing them on your blog and linking back to me. Have a wonderful day. The sun is out!! ~ Abby
