Note Card Party Rules:
1. Let's try not to make too many rules... ☺
2. Search for four photographs on your own blog that would make a nice set of note cards. They must have appeared on your blog by the time you link up.
3. Write your post.
4. Link directly to your post below.
5. Visit ten or so others (at least) and comment. Knowing that new visitors are viewing and commenting is part of the fun. (Permission granted to look and not comment at blogs practicing safe commenting. All those word verifications get very tiring when trying to visit a lot of blogs.)
6. Have fun!
Let's see how this goes. If we enjoy it, perhaps we can do it all over again on the third Wednesday of every month. Twelve times a year sounds about right to me. What do you think? One thing is certain, we all have pictures to share!
They are all gorgeous Vee, but I love the dishwashing one best. Great capture.
ReplyDeleteHave a great eve ~

I love this idea and want to take part! Will you keep this linky up for a few days? Love your photos! ♥
ReplyDeleteOnce I get my feet back on the ground I'll try to join in the fun!
ReplyDeleteEven though I have a private blog, is it okay to visit others? I won't vote as that wouldn't be fair, but I'd love to see your favorite photos.
ReplyDeleteVee, your photo choices would make beautiful note cards. I hope you make it happen.
This is fun....
ReplyDeleteI had to come back and check the rules to be sure I am linking right. I am trying to decide if I want a related theme to my "note card" photos or a random set...decisions, decisions!
ReplyDeleteDo we just show the photo or do we need to link to the post on our blog where the photo came from?
Am I being confusing or am I just confused?
I love them all Vee, but my all time favorite was the one with your lovely dishes in the sudsy water. It is gorgeous, and makes me think of cozy times in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what everyone has posted. I seem to have allot of photos (as always), but there's a surprise at the end.
Happy note cards
Karen
Shoot! I did not even tell you that I love your choices. These are so very Vee, a culinary artist, nurturing family, body, and soul with your kitchen creations. I love all glimpses of your kitchen and the things you create or decorate there, it is the heart of your home. It would be fun to have a set of your cards with some of your delicious recipes on them, yum! We still have Vee's Heavenly Chicken, as I have dubbed the recipe, love it!
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to link up!
HI Vee! Thanks for hosting this new meme. It was a challenge but fun to do. I love your choices - such pretty dishes - especially the one in the suds! Hugs, Pam
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! I love dishes like yours with the pictorial scenes on them. And thank you for thinking of this linkup!
ReplyDeleteI got my post ready for publishing in the morning and did my linkup. I didn't really put them together as a set, though there is an obscure photographic technique theme to mine. But I have used each of the images for note cards. I haven't bought any cards in about 5 years now, LOL!
I'm enjoying the party so much that I linked to it twice. LOL. Have sent you an e-mail explaining.
ReplyDeleteIf we continue to do this I promise to get it right next time.
Anyhow, your photos would all look lovely on the front of a note card. There is something extra special about the cozy themed plate soaking in the sudsy water. I also like the teacups as they remind me of the birthday luncheons my mom once had for my grandma and her friends.
Thanks for hosting the party.
Vee...love your choices and that you chose a theme. Not sure which is my favorite...maybe the mug and sweet...but they are all good and I would be pleased to get a note on any of them. This was such a creative idea, thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHope I've got this right! Seems it could be a lot of fun...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the invite, Vee!
Oh I think this will be a lot of fun. Wasn't sure if I had a theme or not but I am ready for the next one too. I love you beautiful cups. Yes would make a great card.
ReplyDeleteQMM
Everything is so pretty Vee, I believe I have a dish similar to your first one! Thank you for hosting, I was a little anxious because lately when i tried to join with Mr Linky, I had some problems, but you made it so easy, and for that i am so thankful.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to visiting others too.
Hugs,
Sue
I am finally linked up! I forgot to say that I love the sudsy plate! All the shots are wonderful but that one just captures me with a comforting feeling of washing holiday dishes with my grandmother, mother, and aunts.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea so much I am borrowing it as a Christmas gift idea. I am already collecting sets of images from my blog to have printed up as gifts. Thank you for a brilliant idea!
I LOVE your photos, but just like others said, I love the plate in the suds the most! This is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteWell, you know I am a dish fan! Love your photos...the one in the sink is fabulous! Thanks for hosting this party. I linked up....
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
What a fun idea! I'll try to find some images that are on this notebook - most are on the home computer, and I find they don't copy as well from the blog...I'll try!
ReplyDeleteI love your collection - but I LOVE teacups.
I love dishes, so I love your choices. I didnt know about this, saw it at Sue's. When does the link up end?
ReplyDeleteThat tureen is beautiful!
Oh...I want to join...can I do it through this week still??? What fun!!
ReplyDeletePretty pictures! Love the one of the tea cups. I just love tea! And the one of the dish in the dishwater is so pretty. I never would have thought to take a picture like that.
ReplyDeleteJust linked up my post...
Oh, I hope I didn't link up twice! I spelled my own name wrong the first time I tried. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteThis is lots of fun, Vee...thank you for hosting this party. And are you getting tired of hearing about the sudsy plate? I hope not! It is so unique! And it doesn't hurt that I love brown transferware. Of course, I really like all of your selected photos. Dishes...sigh...
I love your choices, Vee! They are very unique and would make wonderful cards.
ReplyDeleteI think I got carried away with emotion when I began loking at my photos Vee, and chose ones that were significant in some way to me. I've been feeling very sentimental lately. If you do this again I'll chose prettier ones next time.
what gorgeous photos you picked. lovely. i really love the tea cups. would love a cup of tea right now. yum. enjoy the day. (:
ReplyDeleteStill love that dishwater one the best...but they are all great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this party...I'm off to peek at the others and kick myself for having the nerve to join in.
I love your photos,Vee, and sigh with "envy" at the assortment of beautiful dishes. Thanks for hosting the party! My kids will be here from Virginia later today but I am making time to go and visit all those lovely links.
ReplyDeletei love your choices Vee. My favorite is the first with the plate in the dishpan. Is that Currier & Ives?
ReplyDeleteGreat fun!
Beautiful choices, Vee! I love the peaceful and elegant look of your of your pictures. And I really love your assortment of china!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting a fun party!
Jen

ReplyDelete-chuckle- Great term for those, who make Dear Readers do that awful double Word Verification Setting, just to comment on their blogs.
Delightfully WITTY term. And with a gentle *bite* to it too. Jane Austen would approve. ,-)

What a fun idea for a party :-) My mother makes note cards from photos of her paintings, I save them all.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I love this idea...I will jump on next month. Yours are perfect. I LOVE dishes too. I think I like the mug and cookie one best. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteAh very nice. Like the theme idea.
ReplyDeleteThis is fun! I am looking forward to seeing what the other ladies have posted!
ReplyDeleteI will get to do this while at the store today!
Deanna
I found your blog and this party from BJ at Sweet Nothings. I hope it's OK to invite myself. I absolutely love this idea and it gave me a much needed creative boost.
ReplyDeleteI also love the fact that it's a "mingling" party. That kind is my favorite. I'm a mingler by nature.
Now, as to your photos, I love them. The first one in the suds is my absolute favorite, but they all tell a little dish story.
Now to mingle and get inspired. Thanks so much for coming up with this great idea.
Call me crazy, but I love that "in the dishpan" shot. A great combination of the beautiful, and the everyday. Thanks for hosting such a great party Vee!
ReplyDeleteI had to come back and say that everyone is loving your first linky party. And not too many FIRST EDITIONS get as many players as you have. Congrats, dear one.
ReplyDeleteNow, I have found many more photos I want to brag about so I (and several others) are hoping you do this again. We love it...wonderful way to share our favorite photos...plus, of course, meeting new bloggers.
Your sudsy photo brings to mind one of my own and it will be in the next party. In fact, along with others, I am already culling thru photos for the NEXT party. :))
You had a GRAND IDEA, VEE.
Hi Vee, I am joining your new Linky Party. This is a great idea. I love your photo of the dish in the soapy water. xo
ReplyDeleteI'm joining your Linky Party. Will have to visit some of the other links after the garden gets attention. :)
ReplyDeleteI like notecards with dishes and teacups too! Very nice, Vee!
ReplyDeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteOh what fun..After work today I will see what photo's I can find. I am not a great picture taker so its going to be hard to find some, but I will try..
Big, Big hugs, Elizabeth
Hi Vee,
ReplyDeleteJust popped back to say thank you. As I was clicking away visiting people, I met so many new faces.
Thank you for introducing me to some new lovely blogs. Thank you for hosting so much fun.
Karen
Hi Vee - these are all gorgeous. I am a 'dishaholic' and proud of it. Must go and find 4 pics I love. Love the tea-cup one so much. Deb (Ontario, Canada)
ReplyDeleteI love those! I especially love the coffee cup and cookies! Makes me think of friends and time to share my heart! Thanks for hosting this party, it is fun to see what others have chosen!
ReplyDeleteI found out about your party through Deanna's blog and decided to join in on the fun.
ReplyDeleteI really like all of your pics, but I think the teacups one is my favorite.
Thank you for hosting such a fun party. :o)
Hi Vee, This was a great idea...I especially like the shot of the dish is the sink...it is just so zen.
ReplyDelete♥, Susan
Awesome! I have Friendly Village China that I've never taken any pictures of...I'm going to now, though! Nice to meet you...:)JP
ReplyDeleteYour china is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOk. My favorite is the teacups...because of the beautiful color. I remember that photo.
ReplyDeleteI also love the dish in the dishwater. I prefer to wash my older dishes by hand, because it gives me more opportunity to handle and look at them. A simple pleasure, indeed.
Thanks for hosting!
Hi Vee,
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you -- this is a great idea for a linky party. :)
I love all your pictures because I'm a bit of a dishaholic. Your teacups are absolutely gorgeous; what a wonderful photo!!

ReplyDeleteYour pics are great, love the first one! Thanks for the fun new party idea:@)
ReplyDeleteI think this idea of a party has been a smashing success. And people took you seriously about the visits. Comments broke a record on my blog! It's been such fun to see everyone's photos! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI'm back just to tell you that of all the parties I have attended, I have never seen one with so many folks willing to mingle and encourage. This is just wonderful. I've seen so many shots that actually inspire me, too.
ReplyDeleteI thought I had visited just about all of them, but today I see a whole new crop. Of course, they are switched around from yesterday so this blond is having a time finding the ones I haven't seen yet. ACK.
Thanks again for welcoming me even though mine wasn't exactly what you had in mind.
Oh, Vee, I love this party, but I missed it! Let's definitely do it again!
ReplyDeleteWell darn I missed a fun party! My husband is off this week and I've hardly been home or online.
ReplyDeleteI'll mark my calendar for the next one!
What a fun party! I am joining in on the next one!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Susan and Bentley
Dear Vee...working my way though the list and commenting ~ (I'm up to #37!)~ a favor, please ~
ReplyDeletecould you tell me ~ do you get that word verification thing when you post on my blog? I can't find the setting for that under "comments", oddly enough...
Thank you!
