Surprise Snow

Welcome to my world; I won't mind if you don't want to come on in... ☺

Snow was promised for tonight and came a day early and probably is coming tonight as well. Poor lilacs with their buds already set and poor daffodils all smashed low. Even the poor plate is bowed. At least the maple sap bucket looks good now. So, tell me, what's the temp in your world?

I have been working on a button for the Note Card Party and will have it available later in the morning. Look for it on my sidebar. It'll be linked to a post explaining the rules without any additional phrasing. Thanks!

  5. Snow! Ah heck. I was hoping you were done with snow for the year....pretty though.

Right now it is 50 and semi sunny at 8:50AM. It is suppose to be in the low 70's here today with afternoon thunderstorms.

  6. Vee, although it is much warmer here today, sometimes I think that I would be better suited to living in New England. I am sure that I would get tired of the mess and the inconvenience of snow, but I soooooooo dislike hot weather (especially with humidity...which is what we get), that I think it would be an acceptable trade off. I try very, very hard not to complain about the cold, because I feel like I use up my entire complaint quota during the summer. (I say that tongue in cheek, with a bit of shame, as I don't think that one is entitled to a complaint quota.)

  7. Good morning! Oh your poor flowers!! It is suppose to be around 68 today. The last two days have been similiar....really quite nice. I am loving while I can because it will heat WAY up soon enough. Enjoy your day!

  8. I think we have skipped spring & went straight to summer here in Oklahoma.
Temps in the upper 80s! Great weather!

  10. Maybe all of the snow will melt quickly and things will perk back up! It seems so late to be getting snow, but this is coming from the girl who hasn't seen any since January 2011. I guess you don't want to know that it's 60 degrees at 9 AM here ...... It is overcast though.

    Hope your weather improves soon!

  11. We had snow up north. It's just been cold and very windy here.

  12. It's so hard to see those spring blossoms and then have then destroyed.
It's 62 this morning with 70's later on. Not sure what this means for summer. Could be an extremely hot one.

  13. The snow is so pretty. We are at 65 at 10 am. We have so much pollen in the air, it is hard to get out and enjoy!

Looking forward to the next note card party. Blessings to you this day, Vee.

  14. I'm always amazed when I see people are still getting snow since we have the AC on!

Hope you have more spring-like weather soon!

  15. Hi Vee,

What crazy weather. I took another ride to New Hampshire yesterday with my friend Joyce. It was gorgeous, but cold. We soaked up the sun, knowing the weather forecast for today.

Love your mosaic. New England is a crazy Spring.

    Karen

P.S. Focusing on life was off to a late start this morning. If you want to post your earlier photos from another post, please do. I put the link at the bottom of today's post.

  16. Oh my. And you had such a nice tease with that warm spring weather! It has gotten cooler here too--and a gray day, but more warm to come.

  17. Right this minute it is not raining and we've finally gotten around to warmer temps. 40 right now possibly getting up to 50...
That snow looks pretty but I believe it's time for it to go...

  18. Oh no! You had snow!!??!!!

    Dang.

Got cooler here and frosted yesterday night and probably caused problems but not SNOW, holy moley, Vee!

  19. In my world? It's drizzling...neither warm nor cold. I'm hoping the snow is behind us!

  20. It's a cool day here, probably going to be in the 50's...overcast now but the sun will likely make an appearance later today!

Looking forward to the party again!

  21. On our Island, the skies are grey, but lightening (I think). No snow. Grape hyacinths and daffodils are blooming. Want to come over for tea?

  23. oh boy! I really hate to tell you because it could change right after it comes out of my mouth. But we have a beautiful 80 degree day here in Mid-Missouri...

I am so ready to say goodbye to winter and hello to spring...I know my veggie starts are too! :)

  25. Hi Vee, we had gorgeous 70 degree weather a while ago then woke up to snow the following Sunday. We got 3-4 inches. It just gave everything a good drink. Now back up in the 70's and things are started to pop out. Loving this gorgeous weather! I have a new linky party, Share Your Cup Thursday. I would love it if you could share sometime!
    Hugs,
    Jann

  26. Oops, that is indeed a surprise. I sure hope it doesn' harm your lilacs. I love the fragrance of lilacs sooooo much, but they don't do well here. To make up for it I bought a lilac scented candle and I'm hoping to see yours when they bloom (perhaps on a note card :).
We have cooled down a bit ... supposed to reach 77 today. I am going to "ditto" everything Cheryl said in her comment about heat and humidity. Don't like it at all.

  27. You probably don't won't to know about the weather here today. But since you asked...it's sunny and close to 80. But that can change quickly here in MO. The weatherman has said rain and more rain for this week, but so far we've escaped it. The warmer temps are nice, but much too warm for March! I hate to think what summer may be like. I don't like the heat and humidity at all!
So sorry about your flowers. Hope you get some of these nice sunny days and warmer temps soon! You did a great job on that mosaic even if it does look cold!

  28. Well, your snow probably won't last very long.
It was 80 degrees here not too long ago and the sun was out. We are now having a thunderstorm and the temperature is 66.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well, it WAS sunny. And it Was 4 deg. celsius which was much warmer that the last 2 days with the very strong north wind. I guess we're getting the snow tonight. I'm quite depressed this week and I believe it's the change in the weather. I'm not happy. Oh for some heat and sun together again!

    ReplyDelete
  30. well we did have a freeze warning last night but today it was in the 70's...no wonder my poor garden is confused

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh no! Read my post today and you'll see what kind of weather Oklahoma has been having. Hope you get some spring weather soon.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wow...snow! We are in the high 70's

I am going to join on the next party link...sounds fun!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh no! Mother Nature is NOT being good to you! It got up to 79 degrees here today. I almost need to turn on the air conditioner!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Snow pretty!

We are warming fast here getting up in the low 80's, I think summer here is going to sizzle. Good news is that we don't have the humidity that we have in summer months.

Looking forward to the next card party, already have mine picked out!

  35. Hi Vee

We actually were a little warmer today than yesterday - 62 - but overcast and rainy. I wouldn't mind one last snow. We only got a little bit this year.

I love that no bake cookie recipe - it's Flyboy's favorite.

  36. A spring snow is always a surprise!

It warmed up a little here today and we had a mid afternoon thunderstorm.

I've been busy clearing out my Mom's house --we have a buyer for it and now only have a month left to get it all done.

  37. Snow?? I shall not complain that our temperatures are now in the low 8o's. I will just enjoy what God gives me right now.

Now, if He gave me snow, I would freak out of course.

  38. Vee! I love being welcomed into your world - a place of wonderment and retreat! I've not been able to visit much of late! Office being used for many things these days, then on the road...but I'll explain later! Just want to say, I've loved viewing your latest projects and posts! Mmmm! Here is where creativity takes wings! Many blessings! Love, ~ Gwen ~
