Translation: Good morning!
Quack Quack?
Translation: How're you doing?
Quackety-quack quackers. Quack?
Translation: I'm feeling pretty well. What makes you ask?

She did it again! Kim. She sent me another beautiful photo of *her swans making the sign of the heart. Believe me, it's much more lovely than this photo of her photo.
~Swan Lake~
Wonder how large it'll be when the rain ends on Thursday. Hmmmm, perhaps we'll be able to put in a dock.
Yikes! That's a lot of rain. Rain till Thursday? I don't even want to check the weather in the Northwest yet. Hope you have some galoshes...quack quack!
ReplyDeleteHow much rain have you gotten? Do you have the usual - as we have in the midwest - too much spring rain and wishing for it in August?
ReplyDeleteYou're being a very cheerful duck!
Six inches over the weekend. More in one Saturday than an entire month of normal rainfall. Lots of flooding going on all over the state.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Look at all that water! I hope you dry out soon Vee..
ReplyDeleteFor one second, you had me thinking, oh that must have been a while ago....then I saw the photo.....wow. The swans would feel right at home. So nice of Kim to send you another photo. xo
ReplyDeletePeople pay a lot for waterfront property, you know. You certainly have it. (Yikes! Or should I say...QUACK!)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I hope it quits raining for you! And what a lovely card! That had to make you smile...
ReplyDeleteOh my, that is a lot of rain! I hope it won't be long until it clears up.
ReplyDeleteKim's photo is lovely.
Are you getting that much rain? Though a lake would be fun dock and all...we're getting a little more rain, too! Playig catch up again and posted on the One Cat Shy for the first time since the surgery, lol...I'm getting antsy!!!

Now let's see... How about a wee little foot bridge, from the road to beside the tree? Wouldn't that be cute?
ReplyDelete-chuckle-
Mmmmm, you are NOT chuckling, I fear.
Nope, you are not chuckling...
Really, nothing to chuckle about! You are getting hit with excessive rain, in your area. -sigh-
"You have eyes huntsman, but you can not see!
She is the One!
I see an end to darkness!"
"Snow White and The Huntsman"
We saw a lot of full ponds and ditches in Georgia as we traveled through the countryside. Even this part of Florida looks well watered right now. I hope you get some sunshine soon. You're starting to speak in strange languages! Quack!
ReplyDeleteIt's really good you guys took your adventure when you did. I think you need a rainy day indoor change of scenery too -- I would definitely be having cabin fever!
ReplyDeleteWell QUACK! That's not nice at all Vee. I guess that system is sitting over Maine and southern Nova Scotia and it's missing us. We're getting very gusty NE winds and gray skies but no rain (maybe a shower). I hope it passes soon so you can dry out. Hugs, Pam
ReplyDeleteThis might be a fine time to invest in a boat! Here's hoping you stay high and dry...and still manage to smile...until the sun returns.
ReplyDeleteThat's some serious rainfall. If we had only a portion of that, our natural grasses would be astounding. I hope you have some good books to tide you over!
ReplyDeleteAs of right now I will quit complaining about the showers forecasted for us this week, the ones that would have kept me from being outside in my garden.
ReplyDeleteI bet you are taking advantage of this and finding some great creative projects!! ~smile~
Hugs,
Sue
Might as have have fun with the rain. It is not raining today, yet, but it is cloudy as heck. Our tomatoes need sun, sun, sun.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week dear sista.
QMM
Oh dear, you really are having the rains! Well a sense of humor helps, while you live in an ark.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Ohio weather. It rained nearly every day I was there excepting for three HOT days at the beginning. I loved the rain but then I never get it here. So when I can, I love it. And the trees and the green. Lovely to see it all again.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of rain...
ReplyDeleteYikes! What about a ski-boat? Or a barge - your family would love that!
ReplyDeleteSorry you're getting a deluge. Wish that you could send some our way. Can't last forever, tho. I hope it doesn't inspire the mosquitos...
Cute new pic of you, Vee! Hey, at least you're getting lots of INSIDE stuff done????? :)
I sure wish I had something to quack about. Well, maybe not That Much rain! We haven't had enough rain here to do any good in...well, I can't remember when. Oh well, hopefully some day. Meanwhile, I'm watering flowers and the veggie garden is just at a standstill. The grass is turning brown. It just seems that we either get too much or not enough...where is that happy medium?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good day in spite of the wet weather!
Yes, if it weren't for the city sewers my front yard would look the same, Vee We have had a very wet spring here in the NE. I'm sure all the reservoirs are now full, which is a good thing. I appreciated not having to water my vegetable garden ... but now I'd love the return of sunshine!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you certainly are getting a lot of rain!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a sunny day soon!!!
Time to go shopping for a boat! Do you know how many inches of rain you have had?
ReplyDeleteWell, I just read through the other comments and find that you have had six inches over the week-end! That is a LOT of rain!
ReplyDeleteI just hope we don't have to start singing Way down upon the Swanee River...
ReplyDeleteGoodness that is a lot of rain. I can't believe you are still in the deluge there.
Which B do you not like? the one that says Posted by?
That you can change.
Hi Vee!
ReplyDeleteTee Hee Hee - you quack me up!!
We could use a little rain, send it our way!!
Oh my goodness, the picture of the swans was just gorgeous, I'm tempted to order me a print... :0)
Everything looks so green and beautiful there . . . I just love your new pond!!
Hugs,
Barb
Oh Dear! Looks like you might need that dock soon!
ReplyDeleteWe could use a little rain... not that much though!
Beautiful swan photo!
Quack, I mean Blessings!
Linda
Look how beautiful and lush and green your lawn is.......*heavy HEAVY SIGH.....
ReplyDeleteI am fully convinced that a deluge for 40 days and 40 nights that covers the entire earth could completely flood it. Well, at least that is what the Bible says happened and I totally believe it.
ReplyDeleteThese days of rain that make a mess of things remind us of these things in our world's history.
So glad for the rainbow!
I heard Maine was really getting the rain...(the rain in Maine falls spainly in the...) no that's Spain. Well anyway, I thought of you! Have a nice day! Now I have the strangest desire to watch My Fair Lady!
ReplyDelete:D
If it makes you feel any better, we once got 48 inches of rain in a weekend in Houston.
ReplyDeleteHonest!
And it is 95 degrees here in Salt Lake today. Shall we figure a way to even these situations out a bit? Whew..
We seeded the backyard with grass today....and then it started raining. Perfect timing!
ReplyDeleteQuack, quack, quack (raining like cats, dogs, ducks, and elephants here as well).
ReplyDeleteDon't float away!
I don't know about swans moving in, but you and John just might develop webbed feet!
ReplyDeletesend some OF THAT WET STUFF my way - it's dry dry dry here..wink!
ReplyDeletehugs
We're pretty water logged here to. Rain then sun, then rain then sun, and so on today...
ReplyDeleteDoes roundup only kill weeds and poison? What if it gets on other plants?
Leann
Don't forget to put on your wellies when you go out! =)
ReplyDeleteThe mountains keeps breaking up our rain as it comes across, so my flowers are quite jealous. As long as the extreme heat will lay low a while longer we will be able to deal with it. I'm not looking forward to the heat of our first South Carolina summer. At all.
Maybe it'll dry up for you soon and you will be able to enjoy a little bit of summer!
Happy Monday to you!!
the weather has been so weird this year. It has been cold here but thank goodness no flooding. I have had trouble in the past commenting on your blog but recently not so much. If I start a new blog with blogger I have to delete my account, losing my info, and then start over. it is upsetting to me that google added my. Gmail account with my blog when decided I had added to many links and photos. I was willing to pay the extra five or even ten dollars a year but not a monthly fee. I will continue to read your blog or as long S google allows and will miss blogging with you. You have been a true bloggy friend!
ReplyDeleteVee
ReplyDeleteSurely you have a rubber duck you could play with in that lake!
Come on, take off your shoes and get out there in your bare feet and splash around. Live dangerously
Just think how you can have the whole neighborhood abuzz.
So much rain...we have had a lot here but not nearly enough to cause flooding....
ReplyDeleteStay safe and dry!
Deanna
Can't bellevue you've had so much wet weather! We've been 64 to 74 degrees all week, blue skies with billowing clouds and just a hint of rain now and then. it's been really beautiful. The weather channel keeps telling us were raining, though! Weird .
ReplyDeleteJust remember .. It has to stop at some point, so have your boots ready!
