Our town had a parade yesterday morning replete with a bounce house on the lawn, Highlanders marching playing the bagpipes, vintage cars, and cotton candy for sale. The timing was just right because thunderstorms blew in by afternoon and stayed all night. I rescued my three little roses freshly bloomed and now they bloom on my kitchen windowsill. Just a few little scenes from the parade with the roses tucked in.
Check in with Mary at Little Red House for more mosaics. It's always fun!
Have a great week...

I am swooning over the large farmhouse-y building (is that your town hall?!)...and the smaller building with the star on the front...and the white picket fence. It all looks so idyllic. Is this what Maine is all about?
ReplyDeleteHi Vee!
ReplyDeleteYour mosaic is just gorgeous - what beautiful roses!!
This is definitely the time of year for parades - I hope you had some cotton candy!!
Hugs,
Barb
It sounds like a great weekend, Vee. There's nothing quite like a small town parade. Up here, my roses began to bloom this weekend, at last. Joy!

What a great celebration! Your mosaic brings to mind the wonderful memories of growing up in a small town.
ReplyDeleteDelightful... That mosaic could be titled "Home Town America." :-)

And you said that there was nothing to see in your town? :) I love it!
ReplyDeleteOh a parade to welcome summer sounds wonderful! The annual mermaid parade was held in Coney Island this past saturday but I was volunteering at the historical cemetery helping out in their on going records archival project.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your roses!
I see what you mean about us thinking alike this week, Vee! Your collage layout is really nice with the flowers at each corner.

Such lovely roses and how clever of you to match the photos of them with the 'parade'-photos.
