Fifteen Hundred Posts

This is the print I received yesterday from Cathie Holman. It says "Peace be to this house." (Though, my ceiling is showing up in the print, it really doesn't look like that!) The colors are so rich and it's signed by the artist! This is not its final home; I just had to put it up because I was so excited about it.

Catherine Holman blogs at Pigment of Your Imagination or what some know
as Catherine Holman Folk Art. She is a folk art artist who often takes her readers on a little journey of the painting process. I love that. I love peeking over her shoulder and seeing all the progress and processes. It's fun! Catherine often has a little story to tell to complement her paintings. I really love that! And it's great fun to go looking on her Etsy shop also named Pigment of Your Imagination.

Recently, I passed my 1500th post mark and to celebrate Catherine has graciously donated a print to one of my readers. How cool is that?! All one has to do is visit the last link listed above, look around, and return to let me know which print you'd like. No following, no linking, no other hoops than that. The only remaining requirements are that you have a blog and that you are willing to feature your win on said blog. Grab your coffee or tea and snuggle down for a few minutes.

Here's a little representation of what you'll find when you go shopping.

Wouldn't this be perfect over Thanksgiving?

Or this stone house through the Christmas holidays and winter? Don't forget that these prints make a unique gift for someone you know who loves folk art or representations of life in simpler times.

This giveaway will close Sunday evening at 7. Yup. I work fast.

Don't forget to come back now!

Comments are now closed. The winner will be announced tomorrow!

  2. Congratulations Vee! Thank you for sharing this accomplishment with us! I adore the cupcakes. Specifically the witches feet sticking out. Sometimes I would like to dive headfist into a cupcake!

  3. Wow Vee, Congratulations on 1500 posts! How can that be? I have less than that in nearly 8 years, but I guess that's because you are so faithful in posting every day.

Cahterine's work is beautiful and thanks for the introduction. It would be hard to choose a favorite but I think mine is either "LuLuBelle goes to church" (partly because we nicknamed my sis Lulubelle) or the beautiful stone house for the holidays that you have showcased in your post.

  28. Wow! 1500 posts. Congratulations, Vee. I hope to read 1500 more!

Catherine has so many wonderful choices on her Etsy site. I'd choose one, then click further and think, "no, this one." But when I saw "God's Light" with the lighthouse, I knew that was the one. Coastal and wintry. Just lovely.

  32. Congratulations on 1500 posts, Vee. Alway a pleasure to see what you will be sharing with us and I do hope you continue to share at least 1500 more posts.
How nice of Catherine to offer one of her prints to celebrate. I went over to her shop and thought I might never return. That was a tough decision. Her artwork is just beautiful and the accompanying stories are delightful. After having just been on a hayride, I think I would select the Annual Barn Dance & Hayride.

It reminds me of a Brooklyn, NY store front and my dream of owning a bakery :)

Mosaic Monday...love shopping at vintage/antique places
    Babb's Bridge....what a wonderful discovery!
    The gifts are beautiful.
The garage looks great! The scallops that match the house are genius. I know that because Mister chose to do the same thing with a window feature on our garage that goes with the house.

As to the incredibly talented artist, I loved her work, every single painting. I love folk art. I can't remember the name, but my very favorite was the one of the whole village. But then, I really loved them all.

  51. Wow, 1500 posts! As a newbie, that's something to aspire to. I've been loving your visits to country shows and the pictures of houses. Me and my daughter narrowed the choice down to four but eventually plumped for Peace Be To This House - gorgeous house, wonderful colour palette and a cat! Fingers crossed!
