This is the print I received yesterday from Cathie Holman. It says "Peace be to this house." (Though, my ceiling is showing up in the print, it really doesn't look like that!) The colors are so rich and it's signed by the artist! This is not its final home; I just had to put it up because I was so excited about it.
as Catherine Holman Folk Art. She is a folk art artist who often takes her readers on a little journey of the painting process. I love that. I love peeking over her shoulder and seeing all the progress and processes. It's fun! Catherine often has a little story to tell to complement her paintings. I really love that! And it's great fun to go looking on her Etsy shop also named Pigment of Your Imagination.
Recently, I passed my 1500th post mark and to celebrate Catherine has graciously donated a print to one of my readers. How cool is that?! All one has to do is visit the last link listed above, look around, and return to let me know which print you'd like. No following, no linking, no other hoops than that. The only remaining requirements are that you have a blog and that you are willing to feature your win on said blog. Grab your coffee or tea and snuggle down for a few minutes.
Here's a little representation of what you'll find when you go shopping.
Wouldn't this be perfect over Thanksgiving?
Or this stone house through the Christmas holidays and winter? Don't forget that these prints make a unique gift for someone you know who loves folk art or representations of life in simpler times.
This giveaway will close Sunday evening at 7. Yup. I work fast.
Don't forget to come back now!
Comments are now closed. The winner will be announced tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteCahterine's work is beautiful and thanks for the introduction. It would be hard to choose a favorite but I think mine is either "LuLuBelle goes to church" (partly because we nicknamed my sis Lulubelle) or the beautiful stone house for the holidays that you have showcased in your post.
Congrats on 1500 posts, Vee! Catherine's art is just lovely. I am happy to find her blog/shop just in time for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy niece has her kitchen done in chocolate brown and pink: The Chocolate Chip Cupcake print would be perfect displayed on Brooke's kitchen shelf!

ReplyDeleteCatherine has so many wonderful choices on her Etsy site. I'd choose one, then click further and think, "no, this one." But when I saw "God's Light" with the lighthouse, I knew that was the one. Coastal and wintry. Just lovely.
So good to be back, it's been awhile since I've been over here catching up with your lovely blog. Love your Fall header, gorgeous colors Vee. Good old New England!

ReplyDeleteHow nice of Catherine to offer one of her prints to celebrate. I went over to her shop and thought I might never return. That was a tough decision. Her artwork is just beautiful and the accompanying stories are delightful. After having just been on a hayride, I think I would select the Annual Barn Dance & Hayride.
Congratulations on your 1,500 post, Vee! You are so prolific and it is a joy to visit your blog!
ReplyDeleteI love Catherine's artwork and I enjoyed looking at her ETSY store. I like this print:

The garage looks great! The scallops that match the house are genius. I know that because Mister chose to do the same thing with a window feature on our garage that goes with the house.

Hello Vee
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 1500 posts! Catherine is a talented artist and I really like the wintry Stone Crossing you have shown on your blog. I went and perused her large
number of paintings but I'm partial to winter scenes.
Have a great weekend. I'm off to babysit and hopefully find time to post myself.

ReplyDeleteI've done a little painting over the years, but come nowhere near that kind of talent! She does amazing work.
ReplyDeleteHer work is charming....I'm laughing because I looked through all the pages of prints and decided on the on one the 10th page called "Give Thanks" and then returned to your blog and saw that you had featured this on your own blog! Well, great minds think alike. This is the print I would love to have if I were lucky enough to win.
ReplyDeleteWow, 1500 posts! As a newbie, that's something to aspire to. I've been loving your visits to country shows and the pictures of houses. Me and my daughter narrowed the choice down to four but eventually plumped for Peace Be To This House - gorgeous house, wonderful colour palette and a cat! Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI just spent a very large chunk of time dreaming over those prints. If I don't win the draw I know what I'm going back for! Cupcake Art Christmas Pudding would be my first choice!
ReplyDeleteCathie has such beautiful work! I love the Silent Night Folk Art Print. If I were to win, I would mention it on my blog. I am a follower of your blog, too, Vee.
ReplyDeleteI used to live in New England; now I am on the Canadian Prairies missing the fall foliage like crazy. I liked Peace be to this House and Christmas Nativity. They were small reminders of the beauty that we left behind.
