Suggestions Anyone?

Maybe it was the Thieves, but for whatever reason, I woke up able to breathe this morning. I'll take it!

Oh that Valentine I spoke of on Tuesday is giving me palpitations. It doesn't take much...;>

Here's what it looks like so far...

BumbleVee, I did what you told me...created myself a little tray that can be whisked off the table in no time.

This is a photo of my grandmother taken in 1914 when she was five. It's so darling that I'd love to incorporate it into the Valentine somehow...

Here's another of Nan taken last summer... Yes, she does look a lot like me!

What I really want to do is to superimpose the child upon the current photo using a transfer technique such as the first one suggested here: *click* There's a wonderful blogger out there somewhere, whom I can't find, who is doing all sorts of wonderful scrapping with this idea. Do you ever lose a blogger? I've lost so many! Of course I keep finding so many that maybe it all balances out in the end.

I had played with the idea of using these photos...my maternal grandparents...but I can't figure out how to do it without being too "over the top."

Whatever I decide to do, I'll be certain to share.

  5. I'm glad you could breathe this morning!

But I'm mighty unhappy with all this *bragging* about your craftiness. Even have a little tray for your stuff. Harrrrrrrumphhhhhhh... Trying to make ol' un-crafty-me jealous, aren't you? -pout-

Yes you are! I know! Fess up. You are. -sigh-

All kidding aside, I'm sure you will make a beautiful creation. And sure your grandmother will be very, very thrilled. With it. :-))))))))

  7. hahha.... guess what? I just carted my box of trims out to the kitchen table, because the sun is streaming in through the windows there ans not in my "craft" room. I follow the sun around the house....

Your card looks great... your little Nan will love it. I never got to meet my grandmother, and don't have my Mom anymore either.... I envy you that.

posted your jammies on my blog today...lol.......

  9. I had to click to enlarge your pictures because I wanted to see your grandparents. Can you imagine being a little girl and having to keep that big hair bow in place! And those high shoes, weren't they pretty but difficult for sure. Your grandfather was a very handsome man and your grandmother looks lovely today.

  10. The photos of your grandmother are so precious. It's wonderful to be "of an age" and still have a Nan to love you! I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with it all. ~Kathy

  12. Hi Vee! Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. The lighting in the back is actually perfect for my quilt studio being on the north side. I have a problem with being too close to neighbors on both sides of our home in the city suburbs and I think I got off to a wrong start with one who now moved. It was an older woman who had nothing better to do than watch me all day. I put up lace panels in every window but felt she invaded me in my space. I also just did not organize it right from the start and the room is smaller than the one in the front. I will get there in the end. I hope you will come back and visit me more often and tell you non blogging friend to say hello. I have more non bloggers that do and I love the contact.
