The horrible truth is out. Sigh. Wonderful bloggers present me with beautiful awards and I leave them on the table. I do believe that the last one was a gift from
The Voice of Melody...a delightful blog, though I am not sure if the blogger's name is
Melody. Perhaps she can enlighten me...anyway, my way of handling these has been less than satisfactory all the way around. I save the award in a special folder and I usually save its name and the person who gave it. Sadly, I am equally as likely NOT to do so. Sometimes, I send the information to myself in an email, but now that my email is wildly out of control...ackkk!
So, one of my New Year's resolutions is to
rejoin FlyLady and start receiving her daily reminders again until I get a grip on this organization thing
again.
Three Four of my blogging buddies are in the throes of moving to new homes...
Melissa at The Inspired Room,
Sue at Thistle Patch Hill,
Jenny at Things From My House, and
HappyOne at Life is Good. (How could I have forgotten this one? I mean, I've been watching her beautiful townhouse go up for several months now and the time for moving is next week!) Perhaps I can take some clues from them and pretend that I'm moving.
Last up today...
Mystery Playlist...rich and beautiful...even classic. This playlist is from one of our dear friends in Blogdom who must fly under the radar for a while. It's too good not to share.
I hope you can conquer that clutter! It's tough to overcome, but easier to deal with life when you are clutter free. I challenge it every day -- sometimes to my husband's dismay!
ReplyDeleteHey Vee you forgot me - I'm moving next week too. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is a good time for me to get rid of a lot of stuff and that's just what I'm doing. Then I can buy new stuff for the new house. :-)
I'm glad I'm not moving...but maybe someone to come and put everything in order would be in order! Trying to stay on top of the clutter is a challenge over here as well.
ReplyDeleteI have been systematically cleaning out drawers in my house. I feel so empowered! I love doing drawers as they are small (typically) and you can do just one or fifteen, depending on how much time you can devote at that moment! I am an award junkie, too!
ReplyDeleteAh, the new year always ushers in a desire to simplify and declutter here too. I am afraid I too have some awards to dust off and hand out! Thanks for the reminder, now if I could just remember where I put them!
ReplyDeleteHey girly...I was just looking at FlyLady a couple of days ago, too! I'm torn between decluttering and getting all organized and just beginning the hoarding process and let it all go! LOL! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteWell, I wouldn't say I'm an award snob so much but more like I'm a "thank you so much for thinking of me but have way too many favs to pass it along to just a few" type person....I'm thankful always but usually bow out...I'm so excited about the new year Vee, I just can't help it!! Hope you all are having a great week ~ hugs, xxoo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteDon't be too hard on yourself Vee, somedays I feel like I should limit my involvement with too many blogs. .because it is very hard to keep current with each friend. .but alas, it is too hard to not look. . .and visit. . and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWell Vee now we know not to give you an award... Just kidding!! There are so many and you deserve them all!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful award-free 2009!!
Happy New Year! Hugs, Sherry
Hi Vee!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the welcome back! It was a wonderful first Christmas with our grandson, and I already miss him so much. I was so proud of my son and daughter-in-law --they are wonderful parents.
I use to be very organized when I worked full time but I don't keep up with it as much anymore. My philosophy is that there is more sand in the bottom of my hourglass than in the top and I want to really enjoy the grains that are left -- to heck with wasting time with chores or sorting through clutter...lol.
HAPPY 2009! Many blessing in the new year fro you and John and your whole family!
Hugs, Pat
Happy 2009...m..
ReplyDeleteHere's to a joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
kari & kijsa
Hi Vee,
ReplyDeleteAll of our earthly possessions are on a moving van heading south. I walked through our empty house after cleaning it all up and am ready for the move, the memories will move with us. The young couple who bought our house told me that they felt as if they were home the minute they first walked through our door. That makes it so much easier to say goodbye, especially because she is an avid gardener and promises to take care of all of my plantings.
My husband and I decided we should have hired movers to come and pack us up years ago- we can now see a basement that we have not seen in years and it is really a nice space! Now to figure out where to put it all in the new house!
Happy New Year- best wishes for a healthy and happy 2009!
Sue
Vee,
ReplyDeleteI just left a comment and realized I was signed on with my other google ID but it is me...Sue at Thistlepatch Hill. My next question is the name of my blog...our new house does not have any thistle!
