There I am in the upstairs sewing room. Can't see me? Let's take a closer look...
Hmmm, still not there.
Oh, here I am looking out where I was just standing.
I tell you, it's getting so intense that I am not sure whether I am coming or going! Is it the same for you?
May we all find some extra time today to focus on how wonderful it was that the Lord was willing to come to us.
Perhaps some Scripture time with a good cup of tea and something yummy to munch on. You can find the recipe for these delicious Gingerbread Cupcakes at Sweet Tidings on Christy's December 1 post. You'll love'em. Oh, 90 grams = 1 stick of butter. Double oh, double the recipe!
Saturday Blessings...
Just finished sitting in my chair by the window and reading His Word, and meditating upon His coming...It is good to spend time with the King of kings and the Lord of lords..It pays great dividends..eternally and every other way..Blessings to you and your's this weekend..((hugs))
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like the scent of gingerbread baking at this time of the year. I am off to find that recipe! Have a lovely tranquil weekend, Vee.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so calming and beautiful. I especially love the creche tucked in the bookshelf. It's what my neighbors grandson calls "The God Stuff". From this weekend on it's crazy busy! Next Saturday we have three engagements, a brunch in the morning, a graduation party in the afternoon and a holiday party at night. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteI will do as you suggest and find some quiet time to reflect on the reason for the season. clothes. HA.

Hi Vee!
ReplyDeleteLove your old fashioned ornaments! Your photography is great!!
I don't know whether I'm coming or going right now. I need some sit-down time too I think!!
Hugs, Sherry
I just love your photos, Vee! Your home exudes a sense of coziness that just makes me want to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!
Becky
Isn't it too bad that we all let this time of the year cause us so much stress...I think, as of today, I am going to quit!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by once again to say, thank you for your blessings this morning. Here I am just about ready to have a nice bowl of soup and sit with hubby. We have just finished grocery shopping and now my day will begin puttering around the house and making it a nice cozy home of love and peace..
ReplyDelete((hugs))
So close!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your weekend is full of peace, joy and happiness!
Good advice, Vee! We are tugged in so many directions at this time of year, it's easy to lose sight of the reason we celebrate. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeletexo,
Lynda
Gosh - is that your house? Looks lovely. Wow, I had some catching up to do - you are a busy blogger. Hope all is well there - your hubby is handsome and you two make quite the adorable pair. Reading to each other!? How utterly romantic. I am lucky if I can get David to speak to me nicely all day. He is a moody one sometimes and annoys me because I think life is too short to be grouchy.
ReplyDeleteWish I were there for a wee visit. Your sewing room looks lovely - wish I were there too and you could teach me a thing or two maybe. I have a new (old) sewing machine and want to learn to use it after Christmas.
Today we are putting up the tree, so must run.
xo
I don't think I could manage this busy season if I didn't stop and rest in His presence. Yes, I feel like I am coming and going but all too soon it will be over and I will miss it! I hope you have a sweet and restful evening.
ReplyDeleteComing and going...and posting on a Saturday? What a surprise!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to visiting with you in your new new sewing room. Maybe once this busy season is over...we will have lots of time to sew. And thanks for the reminder to 'be still...and think about what Christams is really all about'! Blessings to you this second advent weekend.
Good Morning Vee,
ReplyDeleteI love your Christmas poem this morning :), it brings a warm smile to my heart.
I have been thinking of my favorite molasses cookies, now since you've talked about gingerbread I will have to make some this week :).
Have a wonderful day in your beautiful home.
Blessings and hugs,
Kathi :)

ReplyDeleteI am going to take a hop over and grab the recipe! Spent some time catching up here, your blog is looking wonderful!
I was double clicking to see if I could see you.!
ReplyDeleteI did not take a class, it ws from a weekly knitting supplement.
Beautiful post. I love your photos. Everything is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour quote on the last post has touched me on so many levels. It was so beautiful...m..
ReplyDeleteHi Vee
ReplyDeleteI had a day with nothing but computer problems -- so frustrating, and I was ready to announce the end of blogging and e-mail --lol-- and then I got my senses back! I don't know why I stick with AOL --I have to get away from their software as it always has problems and crashes a lot...I just have so many favorites saved that I'd hate not to ahve access to.
Blogspot would not allow me to place any more photos in a post today as I used up all the space they allow for free, so I had to upgrade fro one year, the cheapest upgrade was $20. I don't think it gives more editing options, just more space. I do take a lot of photos, so I guess it's worth it.
I'm going to see a special van Gogh exhibit at MOMA tomorrow --that should keep my mind off the baby for awhile --lol! My DIL feels good and has been doing a lot of walking to try to get things going .... hopefully soon!
I do love the special song above and this post about quiet reflection on the special aspects of Christmas so often lost in the holiday rush. I'm going to Saint Patrick's Cathedral tomorrow also, to say some prayers. Their cheche is always so beautiful!
Hugs, Pat
