Snowstorm...
* Snowstorm bringing a foot of new snow, as opposed to old snow, I presume. (This weather description always makes me laugh.)
* Snowstorm bringing a secluded day...
* Snowstorm bringing stillness and calm...
* Snowstorm bringing work and lots of it...
* Snowstorm bringing a world of white...
* Snowstorm bringing hidden images in trees...
* Snowstorm bringing the noisy plow...
* Snowstorm bringing fresh, crisp air...
* Snowstorm bringing peanut butter toast and hot cocoa... (John tossed that one in here; I had absolutely nothing to do with it.)
Thanks for the compliments on the header. I'm sure that a lot of my blogging friends are cringing because they are experts and they can see that I'm just a pretender, but a gal's gotta start somewhere. As you can see from the hidden images in trees above, I've become a bit woods queer. Apparently, I have too, too, too much time on my hands.
Hopefully, I'll get some organizing accomplished today or some sewing or something besides giving John new glasses on Photoshop. Ha!
Enjoy your Wednesday...
We are having a snow day, too! I am going to make a wreath, clean the bathrooms and contemplate a couple of painting projects.
ReplyDeleteI want to get out in the snow and take some pictures. It is the first real snow we have had this year!
Please go meet my friend, Barb. I think you will really like her!
Oh Vee...I hope you have a most wonderful day organizing. We were to have a huge dump of snow yesterday...and it was not as bad as before Christmas...either that or us westcoasters are getting more used to snow than rain!
ReplyDeleteSnow day, I haven't thought about that since my daughter was in school...perhaps I'll call in to work the next time we had snow :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you get everything organized.
Your new header is beautiful, although I always enjoy what every header you share with us.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Kathi :)
A fresh snowfall is so magical. I support your habit of looking for images in unexpected places. The new look of your blog is so wonderful. Very fresh and inviting. I love the header also.
ReplyDeleteHave a great, snuggly day with your hubby. Gosh, I remember when I first started reading your blog. You were in a state of flux. I always got the feeling that you were restless and wanting something to "happen" in your life. And along came the Carpenter. It's amazing how He works sometimes. I'm so happy for you.

Oh goodness, I think your header is beautiful. . and your snow lyrics as well. .. I choose to believe you and John were singing a song.
ReplyDeleteThere are snow days all around! I have no idea what we are having out there today...since it's still pitch black out...but our snow is predicted to disappear soon with the coming rains. Typical west coast weather!
ReplyDeleteSo what's with new glasses for John on photoshop? Elmer got the whole package...lens and frames... and his last pair got demoted to 'work glasses'. I guess we don't care if he can see at work or not...but he's looking good at home!
I too thought your new header most lovely. I have no clue how you created that one. Is the lovely girl anyone I might know?
Art in the trees...most lovely! And will we get an interpretation? I'm not much for modern art...so I never see what I'm supposed to be seeing.
Enjoy your snow day. Loved the home featured in your last post. I could live there ~ very easily.
ReplyDeleteThe background story of the tree image is that John and I agree what it is...
ReplyDeleteI sent it to three others via email. Sandi at Holding Patterns, my niece who always "sees things" and my mother. Sandi saw a cat, my mother saw a puppy, my niece saw a moose with saggy antlers.
What do John and I see? A polar bear, of course!
I wish we'd get at least one snow day - oh well at least today it's raining! I have some crescent rolls in the oven and I'm going to sit and eat all four of them with some jam and coffee while I watch Sense and Sensibility (for the 100th time).
ReplyDeleteManuela
I wish we were having a snow day! We're having a nasty rain day, but for the rain I am thankful...snow would have been nicer, though lol!

You beat me on the Snow Day Entry! :-) And an excellent entry it is. Filled with _your_ words and photos. Where as mine, is other's words and pics.
ReplyDeleteOh no, you aren't 'woods queer'! Your photos are very lovely. Plus, look at the second 'Hidden Messages In Trees' photo! Do you see it?!?
A "snow man"! One eye covered with his snow hair. But left eye is black. And he is trying to cover his {black hole of a} mouth... With his {tree} arm, all covered in snow.
YOU SURPRISED HIM!!!!! You did! You caught a 'snow man,' and you surprised him and captured him, on film!!!
OK! OK! It's me who is going 'snow queer,' instead of your 'woods queer.' Mmmmmm, we make a great pair, hu?
Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... a scary pair! LOL!

I'm with John - toast fried in the skillet in butter til it's crisp, then slather on too much peanut butter and let it melt, then fold your toast over and let the pb ooze out the ends and catch the drips with your tongue as it squeezes out, follow it up with a big glass of sweet milk! too bad I'm at work and can't make me a pb toast right NOW!
ReplyDeleteAunt Amelia back again. To tell you that I'm not the only one who can see a 'Surprised Snow Man,' in your photo.
ReplyDeleteI showed it to Uncle A. and he sees 'The Abominable Snowman'!!! >:-)
You can be on one of those 'Mysteries' tv shows. You caught a close up photo of The Abominable Snowman!
Yes, I'm going to rest now. It's time. -giggles-

The new header looks great! (first time I've seen it!)
ReplyDeleteWe are getting some snow here today as well.
I live in Canada (right in the snowbelt of Ontario too..) and I can tell ya, I'm SICK of snow. LOL
Laura
The snow we got yesterday is GONE...love your header.....my playlist is going to be reinstalled soon.....I needed a break from it with my migraines and all...it was bothering me. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, such a pretty header! We have more of the snow, too. Although it didn't stay pretty for too long before it turned to rain and now is a slushy mess. Oh well. So funny - my son was just enjoying some peanut butter toast with coffee!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
Liane
Enjoy your snow day! We are having a drizzly rain day which is nice, too! Love your banner! Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhew...I thought I was the only one who saw forms and monsters in snow covered trees!
ReplyDeleteLots of snow again. I love the silence on e gets when snow is falling. Not something we experience here in the South very often. We are just getting rain, rain and more rain.
ReplyDeleteTea drawers. In days gone bytea was sold loose straight from a canister or something. In the specialist shops the walls were lined with draws with different teas in each. This was what they had in France.
I love snow and miss it oh so much!
ReplyDeleteHappy sweet, snuggly snow day to everyone who is enjoying one today. These are good mental health days, don't you think? Everyone needs one now and then - just not too many in a row!!
ReplyDeleteunfortunately, the snow brings along ANXIETY for me...i HATE driving in it.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. We got more ice. Just a bit of snow before the ice came and coated it over.
ReplyDeleteSnow day here too! 10-15 inches worth! A cup of hot cocoa would be welcome. I hope you don't have to wait until May to see the winter's end this year. Who knows what you might start seeing in those trees! ~Kathy
ReplyDeleteWe had another snow day today too. Your posts are always so fun. I have an award for you on my blog.

Wow...I love to find images hidden in pictures. Well I see a polar bear too, right off the bat, can't see a snowman at all...hmmm
ReplyDeleteSnow, snow go away,
ReplyDeleteDon't come back another day!
We received another foot yesterday too ... it can stop ANYTIME!
xo,
Lynda
Vee,
ReplyDeleteYou would laugh yourself silly at what passed for snow here yesterday. We got not more than a flour sifter will hold and people were out in mass raiding the grocery stores for milk and bread!
Well, I for one enjoy your "stuff and fluff" but I would say it is always well worth a visit. Vee, I'm so glad for the post with your picture. You radiate outwardly what is evident within - the love of Christ. Thank you for your comments on Esther's Insights! Always an added punch and blessing!
