We're seeing more of these sorts of benches in our corner. I find them meaningful and perhaps a better answer than a tombstone.

Now I know that I've been seeing things lately, but does that rock formation to the right beside my daughter look like anything to you? I'll let you know what I think tomorrow.
Thanks for looking at my pics; have a great start to a great week...
OK, my first thought was George Washington on a quarter (or maybe on Mt. Rushmore?) Lovely, brilliantly colored pictures.

Vee - What beautiful photos. The sixth one down represents the image I have of the coast of Maine. Just beautiful. The bench memorials are so poignant.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the rock formation, I see a woman with her mouth open....yelling!
Have a great day.

What a great way to start my day! Loved all the pictures. Your coastline is beautiful! You must have had a wonderfully fun day! I hope to some day get to your area and see it for myself.
ReplyDeleteI see two things in your rock formation ~ One is a man yawning, the other is Mr. Tiggywiggle, the top part is his head, his little snout is sticking out and the lapels of his jacket a sticking out! He's a hedgehog by the way.
Today is Hannah day and my little man will be here any minute. I hope you have a great day, I plan to!
What beautiful pictures. So relaxing to look at. To me the rock looks like a dog or a bear. I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for sharing these pretty pictures
ReplyDeleteYou are in the "great photos game" for sure! Wonderful photography!
ReplyDeleteAnd on the same topic {photos}, please come over and see "what it is time for," yet again!!! ,-)

Ahhhh yes, what do I see in the rock? Well, this may be the weirdest of your guesses but...
ReplyDeleteI see a profile of a fancy sheep, in the top part. And since there are more bumps, below there... I guess the sheep is fancy, because he is dressed in some sort of waist coat. Thus, he is a 'fancy' sheep. ,-)))))))))

What a beautiful area, still so natural and uncluttered. I wonder how it smells, of the water, the trees, the rocks, maybe all.
ReplyDeleteI think the rock formation looks like one of the little pigs, dressed in a jacket, maybe from The Wizard of Oz.
How nice to be on a rocky shore...lovely photos! Looks like a fun mother/daughter outing to me.
ReplyDeleteAre you seeing messages in the rocks now, Vee? I see a bear's head...but I'm not always good at seeing things (even through squinty eyes!)
Vee...beautiful photos...what a wonderful place to spend the day..Okay...does the rock look like Easter Island?
ReplyDeleteVee, thank you for the beautiful tour! How lovely is your daughter :). I think the bench memorial is a wonderful thing, something to keep in mind! Awesome pictures!
ReplyDeleteI see a man and a woman, the woman has her head thrown back in laughter :)...

Lovely, lovely photos. The rock makes me think of an owl!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely day out and so quiet. I think the rock formation is a lion.
ReplyDeleteWe too have lots of these memorial seat around too and especially at the sea side.
Just gorgeous! The rock looks like a profile with an open mouth...yelling as Suzanne says! Hope all is well with you, Vee.

I saw a lion...but maybe that's because I read your later post first. Nah...it's a lion all the way. But the hedgehog comment IS funny. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the bench. What a great idea. I haven't seen anything like that before.
mmm I clicked on all the pictures, I could smell the fresh air seeping into my spirit.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Aslan!
Thanks so much for these great comments. What imaginations we all have!
ReplyDeleteAlice, I spent the day drawing deep, exaggerated breaths. The air was so crisp and fresh. Is there anything better than the clean smell of salt water? I don't think so! (No sand flats within miles...)
Miss Sandy, yes I'd like to see the hedgehog. Lovella will thank you, too. Ha!
