Welcome Spring~Mosaic Monday
Spring officially arrives in my corner today at 7:21 p.m. It would be wonderful if I could offer a spring mosaic of crocuses and daffodils. Alas, no such sightings like those here. (In fact, we're under a winter storm advisory expecting a major snow event tomorrow.) What I do have are sap buckets hanging from my neighbor's tree, a visit to a Sugar House, a country store that ships maple syrup, and a jug of maple syrup bought just in time for last night's supper.
Have a wonderful spring!

I hope that show skirts right around you and misses you all together!

I'll trade you a bouquet of daffodils for a jug of maple syrup! heehee! What a treat to have the real thing right there! WOW! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh the joy of different parts of the country...we were in the 80's planting a small garden...now that maple syrup sounds wonderful. Great pictures so inviting and peaceful
ReplyDeleteSpring arrived here with a snow storm and several more storms are headed our way. As I watched the snowfall I mused to myself "Ah, the first snowfall of spring."
ReplyDeleteFunny how that phrase doesn't make people happy.
I love your Mosaic.....
ReplyDeleteIt won't be long before you will be on the road to spring. WITH your maple syrup!
Very nice! I noticed the other day that a few maple trees near me are being tapped now. YAY! The sap is running!! :))
ReplyDeleteHold on a little longer Vee it will happen. You have a very interesting and appealing mosaic today. Blessings

Vee,
ReplyDeleteI can just taste maple sugar candy right now! Yum.
I noticed in your moon picture that you still had snow. At least the calendar reads spring!
Happy Spring!
My dear Vee,
ReplyDeleteHappy spring!! Here I am sitting indoors and watching a storm strong enough to rival a Maine Nor'easter...honestly, it is wild. We had temps in the 70s last week, but today is as dark as evening and as rough and tumble as winter.
Love the sugar house, the sap buckets, the feel of Maine.
Sending love,

P.S. I don't know how to do without word verification. I get so many advertisers tacking creepy messages onto my blog comments. Wish I could do without (without THEM too)
I love taking a trip to the sugar bush. Pancakes and maple syrup are tastes of spring. Lovely mosaic:)
ReplyDeleteoh goodness, Vee ... more bad weather?!!!! here's hoping spring will spring your way soon.
ReplyDeleteI love Maple syrup, love your mosaic! Sorry about your weather, hope it passes quickly!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely ready for a change! It must be an interesting time when the sap begins to run. I hope the weatherman is wrong about the snow though. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteYour mosaic is a perfect display for Spring in the state of Maine, Vee! I've hear late snow is good fertilizer so your spring flowere will be even more beautiful when the warmer weather comes your way.
ReplyDeleteThe thought of maple syrup makes my mouth water. Yum. V
ReplyDeleteHello Vee, that pure maple syrup sure sounds good on a short stack of pancakes. Yum! I didn't get a photo of the perigee moon, darn it. We don't have snow, but the pesky clouds with rain kept me from seeing the moonrise Saturday night and it's cloudy again tonight. Have a good Monday.
ReplyDeleteHi Vee! I think I need to put your neck of the woods on my Bucket list. I'd love to see sap buckets and buy some really good syrup right where it comes from. Fun mosaic...
ReplyDeleteSoon the daffodils will be poking their lovely head out and you will be as charmed by them as I am. Thank you for your kind words and visit! Wishing you well! Cathy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mosaic Vee, how wonderful to get fresh maple syrup..... if it is any comfort, remember when we are cooking here the south, you will be enjoying low humidity, and fantastic temps. Sorry that is all I can give you tonight. Oh! I do have something...when my daffodils are gone (and they are almost) you will be enjoying yours.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sue
MMMM-Maple Syrup!...a favorite at our house...
ReplyDeleteA perfect image for spring. I bet the syrup is worth all the work. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteSherry
Your mosaic is just lovely. Happy Spring. The fresh Maple Syrup sounds yummy.
ReplyDeleteI always love your mosaics, they look as though they should be framed and hung on the wall. This one in particular calls to the country girl in me. If these are scenes you get to see on a daily basis, then lucky Vee!!!

Great mosaic, and I know what you mean about seeing flowers at this time of the year for Michigan..no such luck, just yet!
ReplyDeleteWe woke to loud booms of thunder. I have one little purple crocus. Too funny all by it's little self. But, it is hope.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day....
I do envy your maple syrup, but the snow ... not so much. I do hope it misses you altogether and you will soon have daffodils.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful and fun mosaic Vee! My mother in law (who lives in Vermont) gifted me a jug of maple syrup that we have been enjoying every week. Other than on pancakes, maple syrup is delicious added to a vinaigrette to top the salads!
ReplyDeleteYou are showing Spring, as it appears in your neck of the woods. Perfectly fine. :-)
ReplyDeleteSnow here now, also. But supposed to change to rain. I hope! :-)
Courage!
"I ♥ hugs"
Hi Vee,
ReplyDeleteWow! fresh maple syrup...my mouth is watering..LOL
Beautiful photos.
I love your wreaths...you creative girl! they are fun aren't they..
We had a rain and wind storm all weekend long.So I stayed in as much as possible and worked on my "never ending" quilt.
Have a sweet day and stay warm...
Big hugs, Elizabeth
Wonderful collection of images.
ReplyDeleteI hope that this storm was winter's last gasp and that spring is well and truly on its way in your area. Meanwhile, enjoy the maple syrup!
ReplyDeleteOur lovely 'first day of spring' gave way to clouds and showers today. But things are finally turning green. Your turn is coming!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to sample your Maine maple syrup. All maple syrup over here is imported from somewhere...eastern Canada for the most part.
OH happy Spring Vee. The thing that made me smile about this post is your maple syrup jug. It is identical to ours except for the MAINE banner. Ours is replaced with (getting up to go read it). .Canada No.1 Light.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mosaic, I would love to have some real maple syrup! What a treat. Spring will come, hang in there!
ReplyDeleteIf I could ship you some of our lovely spring, I would! Maybe your weather system will break up and allow spring to head your way. I do adore your mosaic. There is something so warming and peaceful seeing the sap buckets hanging on the trees. I know you enjoyed your maple syrup!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Monday!
Jen
I think it could be soooo fun to see the sap buckets! And the little shop looks adorable. Be safe - we're expecting a snow/rain mix - {snain??}today and tonight as well. Be safe!
ReplyDeleteA happy spring to you. Your spring won't be far behind!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a beautiful spring and a quick arrival!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos!!!
Have a beautiful week!!!
Oooh, I bet that syrup is wonderful! Just the thought of fresh syrup makes me smile!!
ReplyDeletePretty mosaic! Have a great week ;)
ReplyDeleteDid you get that winter storm? I woke up this morning, looked at the sky and grabbed my umbrella. It is SPRING after all! Forget that. I should have worn my snow boots. But the sap is running here in Vermont. I guess there's a blessing in this rotten weather.
ReplyDeleteSweet post :) I wish you a colorful Spring sometime soooon!! Spring's nicely set in in our part of the world (India), do drop by my blog n have a look! Flowers n greens are such joyous creations, arent they?
ReplyDeleteSpring is great, but maple syrup is nothing to sneeze at! :-) We lived in Michigan when I was in 1st grade and I still remember well our trip to a sugar house and the yummy maple candy they gave us.
ReplyDeleteI'd sure like to visit a sugar shack - its one thing I miss out here in BC. We used to go every year - and there's nothing like sweet, hot syrup, thrown out over the snow for the children to eat in long 'strings'.
ReplyDeleteSap buckets for maple syrup = ideal spring! Sweet!
ReplyDeleteHaving joined Mosaic Monday this week I am now enjoying blog hopping around the world admiring everyone else's beautiful photography and gaining inspiration. It cheers me when so much of the world around us is in turmoil for one reason or another.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, hope the storm was not as bad as anticipated.
Cheers! to Spring....Lovely mosaic picture!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I can almost taste it! Hope the storm(s) didn't dump too much on you up there. Happy Spring, dear Vee. :)
ReplyDeletexoxo
Wonderful mosaic! I am eager for spring to arrive.
