Boleros~Mosaic Monday

After so many days of rain, I was delighted to get out into the garden where I found the Bolero Lilies blooming. While they are blooming, it's all about them. Vivid, large, and healthy, they do very well in all the damp and chill and seem impervious to slugs. Wish that I could say that about the rest of the garden as I have been busy rounding up all manner of icky creatures and dispatching them to the great beyond.

The background used is a vintage wallpaper and I failed to mark the source. If you know...

Connecting to Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

Have a blessed week!

  9. Beautiful mosaic. I love the lilies. I haven't seen slugs yet, but then again, I haven't really been looking. I'll be weeding tomorrow because all the rain sure makes the weeds grow. Pamela

  20. Love your lilies - beautiful! I just remembered the little umbrellas for plants I got in Switzerland last year - I must hunt for them and put them over the petunias when it rains...And do not mention slugs. I have also employed all manners of means to get rid of them. Loathe them.

  21. Pretty, pretty, pretty...our heat is doing or flowers in already...enjoy, and your pictures are great

  22. Linds~

I have looked all over for those pretty little umbrellas. John has fashioned a plank cover for the wave petunias else they'd be nothing but mush.

Sorry that you're also dealing with the dreaded slug. Ugh.

  23. Yes!!!

    Sun!!!

    :-)

Why not take credit for it showing itself finally, Dear Vee?

Because you switched to a sunny Background?

    Why not?

I *declare* the sun is shining because of Vee's Sunny Background!

  30. Great colour...your thriving lilies! The lime coloured potato vine doesn't seem to be suffering...they don't like the cold and damp.

  36. Hi Vee, I wanted to stop by for a visit today as I have been on an unannounced leave from blogland for two weeks. One I didn't know I was taking.
I have just spent some very quality time catching up on what you have been doing and enjoyed savoring your posts of your days. The time spent with your family was so precious I know, and the photos showed it too. loved the post of the video of John at work, and yes it is a guy thing of being right 97.7% of the time. ~smile~
Your photos of your flowers are beautiful, we have been having to fight drought and extreme heat with our garden and flowers. I would so love to send some of this heat up your way.
Glancing over John"s newly acquired books looks very interesting, I really like John Stossel and maybe I could get a book review.
So glad to visit, enjoy your evening.
sorry for the long comment, I guess that is what happens when you go on vacation.

    Hugs,
    Sue
